Crashed....
Well those are just the wheels/tires I use for winter. They are the Dunlop Winter Sport on just some Tirerack recommended wheels.
Any day now - I'll get round to switching them back to the AMG 19s.

The car looks great, it looks like they have done a fantastic job well worth the wait.
Actually - they were totally inexpensive (the wheels I mean). I selected them primarily because they looks high quality, and were not too $$$....I did not want to ruin a costly set of wheels during the winter. With the salt, rocks, and dings that come with winters - I think I made a nice choice.
Tire Rack suggested I go with 18" (which is what those are). They look small though - more like 16"! I think that is because of the huge wheel arches and the sheer Mass of the car.
Thanks for the compliment !!! I am putting the 19" AMGs on tomorrow if I have time.
So Long loud winter ride...Hello tire bubbles and loads of Flats.

Put back my AMGs!! Finally - Much sportier look - and ride!
For those of you that know me - I thought I would share the 2 images I am submitting for a local charity. Basically, you take out pages in a program. The proceeds goes to charity, and you can use it as an Ad. You can see what I do all day - and better understand why my plates say Design 01. Also you will see the mistake made - I have GREY inserts on my grill instead of BLACK which I had before. I'll have that changed later. Enjoy!

When you crashed... were the windows down? did you notice the seatbelts tighten and your seat adjust?
I have been tempted on a nice day down an empty street to slam on my brakes to trigger the Pre-safe security measures... I guess the windows all roll up in an instant and the sunroof closes real fast... seats go upright and belts tighten up... so I read at least.
experience any of that? Just curious.

Windows were closed as was the sunroof. However, the seatbelts squeezed me tighter than a nympho on death row! The seat adjusted - squeezing me tight and pulling back from the stering wheel.
The brake assist kicked in - and went all the way down to the floor. However, it was just NOT posisble to miss this impact.
wow i was just browsing through this forum and saw your post, and your in brooklyn lol. I am in brooklyn too, glad you got your car fixed and your allright, this is one of the reasons i hate nyc drivers. I take ocean pkwy everyday in the morning, ill be careful.

That's better, those 19" AMG'S are the only wheels for the 221 unless you have the 20" AMG's.
The car look great and so do your models plus what they are wearing of course.

NYC Drivers are a tough crowd, but I don't see to often such blatant moves which put people's lives at direct risk. What I mean is - I understand people that speed - im guilty of that. But my speeding will NEVER put someone else's life at risk. Specifically, I do not do the "ins and outs" of lanes quickly, and I do not cut things close, or try to weasel around.
What that truck did was cross 6 lanes of traffic, not yeilding to the drivers going straight.
Yes - Do be careful because Ocean Parkway is NOTORIOUS for poor driving... Literally, every friend of mine has been involved in an accident on that stretch. (Some were at fault, some were not...but nevertheless, they were in an accident).
I love these wheels. I think they are very aggressive looking - more so than the W220's AMG wheels.
Trust me, I would LOVE the 20s from the S63/S65 but living in NY - I have enough trouble keeping my tires for more than 2000 miles. Bubbles and flats literally every other month! It is crazy! I do my best to avoid potholes but...come on
Just to remind you...this was in NYC's Battery Park City Area. It popped both the front and back right tires, and a CLK 55 AMG's front and back right tires 3 minutes later. It also busted my Tire pressure censor - and cracked the CLK's rim.
We both filed for damage claims against the city - however we were denied saying the City was somehow NOT negligant!
Thanks so much!

Wow that is messed up what was that just a spike sitting on the road or was it attached to the manhole cover?
Can you imagine the nerve of the city to say they are not to blame?
Somehow I am liable? The person behind me was liable? And apparently the 6 other cars that had damage done to their tires due to this metal protrusion! (according to the door man of the building directly in front of this hazard).
