Sirius radio

Has anyone noticed lately an improvement in the song selections of Sirius radio?? It seems to me they are doing much better with each genre of music. Recently I made the comment that I was getting bored with the music and the limited menu of songs they were playing and was considering dropping it when my current subscription expired but it seems much better in the past month. Maybe this is due to the merge of XM and Sirius. Did they merge yet?

no merger yet. The merger would def increase our choices. Not sure why its taking so long. Sirius does seem to play more mainsteam music while XM seems to try to play everything you never heard on the radio. Which is good but sometimes maybe there is a reason we never heard it. Haven't noticed too much change recently on Sirius but I do love it.

I let my free 6mos of Sirius expire....

Rarely keep any car longer than 6mos, but part of appeal of CL63 030 for me is its charismatic exhaust note (even w/roof/windows closed, as I prefer for maximal safety)....typically enjoy driving w/no audio in background interfering w/exhaust note music....and if in truly annoying, mundane traffic, have plenty of archaic CDs and a loaded iPod to keep me entertained....

Prefer to save any ?$20+/mth for Sirius twd getting a new, latest/greatest AMG more often....call me a "frugal curmudgeon"....

I'm sort of the same way about just enjoying the peace and quiet of the 600. I don't get an exhaust note though
Jazzcafe is about the only station I listen to and I swear it seems they've upgraded the song list. Sometimes I enjoy listening to talk radio.

Thanks for the update. I wonder what is holding up the merger? I wish they had a station that played movie soundtracks. Maybe they do and I just haven't found it.

I don't watch TV/movies/sports (my untreated ADD prevents that stuff), so when I had "free" Sirius would periodically listen to Playboy channel, to efficiently update my sense of latest stuff from LA's trailer pk deluxe crowd....some amusing stuff indeed

I have been listening to Sirius a few times a week over the last 2yrs and stick to only a few channels, 60's, 70's, 80's and the Pulse and have not noticed any difference. What I do notice is the reception here in the NJ area just west of NYC has a lot of drops that I find annoying to the point where in certain areas like Millburn, the Oranges, RT280 and Maplewood - I have to turn it off because the drops are so frequent. Anyone else out here getting annoyed by the same thing?
