DOORS UNLOCKING AFTER LEAVING CAR

I have noticed on 5 or 6 occasions, that my car is unlocked after lociking it and leaving for an hour or so. Has anyone else had that problem? I know the car was locked because after the 1st time I always check to see that it locks before I leave.

Wow. That's not very safe at all. You should definitely take it to the dealer ASAP.

Are you ever near your car after locking it? Do you ever return to within 50 feet of the car after locking it? The reason I ask is that you may be inadvertently and unknowingly getting close enough to the car that while your key is in the pocket, it may be that the unlock button is getting accidentally pressed while in your pocket. I have almost certainly proved that I was accidentally opening my trunk while working inside my office. I was constantly being told by my employees that my trunk was open! My work area is within 50 to 75 feet of my car and these keyfobs (like the bluetooth phones) are much more sensitive than they need to be. It angers me that I'm constantly missing calls when I walk into the house because the bluetooth phone connectivity is WAY too strong.

Again, MB , please bring back the wallet transceiver! It was a great idea.

Yes! Why did they drop the wallet key, anyway?

And I did verify the remote trunk open with our ML and SL. Both opened while I was in my (brick) house about 50-60 feet from the (locked) cars! These keys should only work "line of sight" IMO.

A Q. Has anyone come up with a fix for the phone issue? It bothers us as well (we have 3 cars / bluetooth phones)

Each time the car was unlocked, I had been at a restaurant or the movie theatre. Both several hundred feet away from the car. I have the chirp set to sound on the car with locking and unlocking. I have never heard the single chirp for unlocking when leaving the car area. As an added problem I notice that several times I haven't been able to lock the car from the left rear door handle.

Chirp? I didn't know we had that option. I'll have to step out and check on that.

I can't figure out if and how to turn the chirp sound on . Anyone care to disclose the trick to this? I glanced through the manual and couldn't see it.

Set the phone profile to VERIFY instead of AUTOMATIC pairing.

Line of sight basically deletes panic also. It can be done but its pointless.

It has to be activated by the dealer.

Got my car unlocking problem fixed. Apparently was due to a short in an antenna receiving module. Apparently has been an issue. I advise everyone with this car to carefully observe the door locking to see is they have the problem.
