Hopefully you'll get one soon.

So how is your car? Hopefully no more wrecks and you're driving it carefully

BTW - nice Obama sig! Didn't realize all those winners support him. That's some scary stuff
I absolutely LOVE the S63 sound. You are so lucky! I am jealous I will get one in due time I assume. We shall see........

My car is great - no problems at all since the crash. I really enjoy driving her - but wouldn't mind something faster!

Yea - it is definitely scary stuff.

Allright. We all know it's going to happen so I might as well be the one to do it first and that is to ask the question: "I wonder if those window switches can be retrofitted?"

It sure looks possible. I'm jealous of those switches.

Fantasic vehicle. Now lets just see you get an S65 in about 5 more months ok.

Enjoy it in good health and don't be shy to hit the throttle everytime you drive it. These AMG's really love that.

Trade: $83,000

S63 AMG selling price (I paid): $124,700 (P3, iPod kit)
Wow thats some deal Austinguy. You found a dealer willing to give you close to full retail on your 08 s550, when people on this board are able to pick up a new 08 for 19k off sticker. While managing to pick up a new 09 S63(which are in a more limited supply) for 15k off sticker ! Man I'm taking you to my next car purchase.

Nice looking car, congratulations.
Now - what do we get when we add 63 + 2 after few months?
We get $200,000 (that's a fuzzy math)

That's funny. I know quite few guys who would totally agree with trumpet's statement. It would be a bargain basement (x10) for them
It shows how some guys differentiate with their money allocation

Didn't think of my car in those terms but now that you mention it, I might have to put it to good use

Congratulations, it's a beauty. I know the feeling of buying a car you're not really happy with and trading quick- it hurts but that son wears off and I'm sure you'll have no regrets with the 63.

I guess I just found the right deal at the right time, but still thinking about what deals people are getting on 08 S-classes is amazing! $16-$19k off sticker?

Yes, the S63's are in VERY limited supply. For the one I wanted (Black/Savanna-Cashmere) there were only 3 in the WHOLE U.S. Each dealership typically stocks 1 S63 and it's 99% of the time black/black - don't know what it is about AMG cars but nearly ALL the black ones have black interiors.

The facelift really isn't that much of a change to pay another $10000 more for. He did good. I think my 2007 will be just as up-to-date as the next new thing all the way up to 2012 at least. Just my opinion of course. You'll go broke trying to keep up with the latest/greatest. I still feel like I'm driving a brand new car and mine is 2 years old next month. Still looks oh so modern and really can't be replaced within any reason.

I understand that the S65 has nicer leather+distronic but if you are talking pure engine "sound" - the S63 IMO sounds nicer - more deep - baritone.

I friend of mine owns an 08 S65 and we had our cars side by side last night...... I hate to say it - even he admitted that the S63 sounds like a Bugatti/Bentley/Aston Martin...

It's called "music to the ears..... AufrechtMelcherGroßaspach style"

Quite honestly - I don't like the facelift one - at least not based on the pics out there. Looks too much like an E-class-hybrid.

This W221 looks mean - nasty and aggressive. I think this style is here to stay for a while.

Are there any other pics besides the ones posted here?

Agreed I think the front bumper sticks out too much and maybe too pointed.
I think they got it perfect with 07-09. Who knows. Havn't seen any better pics.

I agree, been there done that. I wasn't too sure if I really wanted to get rid of my 335i for my SLK, but once I sat inside the SLK, I knew that was it, signed the paper and off I went. To this day, I don't regret it.

Congrats, AustinGuy, a truly amazing looking car, which makes me wish my 09 S65 has arrived already.....

09 S65?

You better take some great pics and post.....

Looking forward to seeing it! You'll love the torque and handling more than anything I think.... I'm still getting used to the intense rush I get everytime I sit behind the wheel. The acceleration and handling/cornering are unbelievable.
