If you are going to lease, you better do your homework and then go in. Too much sales pressure even at a place like MB. Once you get ready to sign the paperwork (even if you are paying cash) and go into the "finance manager's office" you'll know what I'm talking about. Those guys are borderline sleazy and will try to pull every trick in the book to make a buck

20+ to list......
09 S65?
You better take some great pics and post.....
Looking forward to seeing it! You'll love the torque and handling more than anything I think.... I'm still getting used to the intense rush I get everytime I sit behind the wheel. The acceleration and handling/cornering are unbelievable.

Hey, you can count on pictures of the car when I take delivery, but I can't guarantee they are gonna be great, POS 5.0 megapixel from 2005 can't be all that good. At least the car is in MB's production system, but it's still 2 months away. I think I'm going to get some pictures together of the GT-R just to feel better.

Out Of Control!!
Congrats and beautiful car. I think I saw it Ewing when I was there on Saturday Aug 30th. If you bought it from Larry R, tell him hello the next time you talk to him.

S550 for S63 AMG
I know - this has to be one of the more bone headed moves ever made (selling an almost brand new 4 month old 2008 S550 with 1300 miles)...
But I just had to
Just had to get that "hand built Naturally Aspirated 6.3 liter V8 AMG"... and boy does it ROCK! Wow! I had never driven an S63 AMG before this - wasn't expecting the engine to humm and purr like an Aston Martin DBS or Bently! Unbelievable sound from the engine even at idling.... I knew I was missing something
A few things that stand out in the 2009 S63 AMG:
- AMG speed shift 7-speed tranny with M-S-C modes
- AMG ABC - This is the most awesome thing about this car. Handles like a BMW 3-series - takes corners as if it's a Ferrari
- AMG 2-stage ESP
- AMG High performance compound dual braking system with sliding calipers! This car stops on a dime even going at 90 mph+
- AMG premium leather with alcantara headliner
- The window toggle switches have been changed from the flat style (that was difficult to feel) to the push/pull style.
- The seat memory buttons now beep when set so that you know it actually registered the setting (as opposed to the silent functioning in earlier models)
Here are some pics - will post some more later.

I was about to launch into "oh..oh!, here comes another Obsidian Black S-Class!".
Having seen the pictures, I've changed my mind. A truly magnificent looking specimen!!
Enjoy!!!

Just came across this site - great pics and model reviews. A little cumbersome to get around (probably a European site).
To scroll through the pics hit the "next" link on top right - it's a little hidden away

Hot ride. Awesome as is, are you doing anything else to it, i.e. rims?
I am really trying to stay away from a CLS AMG for now, that little voice (my wife) tells me to stay away from it. LOL.

No, I'm done "mod-ing" my cars. I did a little something (Brabus 20" rims) to my prev. S550 and totally regretted it. The quality of the rims was not what I expected and the darn things kept leaking air ever so slightly . I realized that stock looks the best - at least on AMG car. Not much else to do to it really. The engine's like a rocket and handling is great.
Tell that little voice to go away - boys need toys to play with (besides other things).... and .........you only live ONCE. Really, just once. The CL65 is awesome. You'll love the sound and power of the AMG engine - trust me - I didn't know what I was missing.
Go for it.

I was looking to upgrade to some Vossen 083's machined with the black and chrome lip. Currently, I have the AMG 18's staggered that came with the car. I was waiting until this set of tire wore out before replacing. The stock look has started to grow on me, but those Vossen's do look nice. I still have about 2-3 months on my current set of tires. Thoughts on sticking with stock or not?
BTW link to see what the Vossen's look like

You mean as far as mine or yours? Got any pics of your car? Can't offer an opinion before seeing them.
Yes, those are nice but I'm a little gun shy I suppose, after my Brabus experience. Remember, the grass is always greener on the other side. What do those cost in the 20" btw? Staggered fittment? They better be.
