Exclamation Need your opinion, getting an S550 tomorrow

S-class #1

Black on beige, P2, bluetooth, ipod, 19" wheel, power side sunshades, rear seat package.

$20,000 down, $1035/ 66 months (includes tax).

OR

Same car as above except without sunshades and without rear seat package.

$20,000 down, $1020/ 66 months (includes tax).

The 1st car is a better deal for the money, but is it worth the extra $990 for options that will hardly get used? Which would you pick?

I would go with the first. They are about the same price and the options are nice features to have.

Good luck!

You also realize that your payments are longer than the 48 month warranty....

It's only $15 bucks...go with the first choice.

Thanks for the input, what do you think of the deal? (considering those payments include tax and interest etc)

I think the payment is good, but 66 months is an awfully long time.

I think it's an okay deal... nothing phenomenal imho. And I agree with Quadbenz, 66 months is an awfully long time. I personally don't like keeping any car longer than 2-3 years... to each it's own I guess.

$19,500 off sticker is not a phenomenal deal? Please enlighten me where I can get a better deal on a brand new S-Class. The interest over 66 months is only $3,600 which is fantastic. While we normally get new cars every few years, the S class is a car we will enjoy for many more.

Anything over manufacturer's warranty is a gamble.
Unless they will extend it for you.

You may be able to negotiate a bit more off the financing. Here in Ca, the advertised rate is 1.9% for 66 months, but the dealer's buy rate is .9%.

We did the paper work. We went for the key for the cure edition. We get a very good price and 0.9 financing to top it off. We are only paying $1800 in interest over 5.5 years! The car is at the port fresh off the boat and will be in any day.

Since you bought it new you can extend your warranty for 3 more years and up to 100K miles if you do it before the original factory warranty runs out. Good luck and you got a good deal, enjoy.

My wife is considering the same car. What was the actual selling price? The MSRP on it is 102,000 something.
