My Mercedes Stable in India
Hey guys i thought i'd share a couple of pics of the Mercs in my garage with you:- (The price i pay for 1 of these S classes is equivalent to the price of a bentley flying spur )

The S320 is for around 170 grand USD
That person is the chaffeur.
Well The S320 is a great car and nothing comes close to the ride comfort and backseat luxury of the S class. Audi and BMW are more driver centered. So instead of going for a S and a 7 or A8 we chose two S classes.

but why a collection of 320's and not 550's? was it just more logical to go with the 320's since its such an astronomical price for a regular 550's

No smarty. I Drive the ML and occasionally the SL55. And Obviously yes, the rest are used by the members of the family.

Thanks.
You have no life. period.
You surfed the whole of that forum to get something to get back at me?
Since you did raise the question,
This wasnt a quarter mila drag but just a little fun on the streets of Delhi.
These are what the street look like except they were a bit more open that day.

But if you're talking serious straight gunning then my passat doesnt even stand a bit of a chance. Nor does you puny little E class with that pea of a V6 motor. Get it?
Thanks will put them up soon

raunaq23,
So where does one buy such cars in India? Are there dealerships where you can buy them from or do you have to privately import them?
What's the price of an S550 there?

You could also import a car on your own on your name.
The import is 110% + 5% road tax & insurance + other handling costs and freight.
So the car becomes 2.25 times the original price of the car in the states whereas cars like Hummer which undergo LHD to RHD conversions are usually more than 2.5 times the price.
S550 ( sold as W221 S500) costs Rs 1 crore INR = around 200,000 USD

Nice cars. Good to see that you can get good enough quality diesels in India in order to run the 320CDI engine. Or at least I assume it's clean enough otherwise MB wouldn't sell an ML320/S320 there. In Malaysia, quality refined diesels are exported but at local pumps the diesels are only Euro 2 or 3 (can't remember exactly) which effectively means it's not suitable to have 320CDI cars. How I would love an S320CDI over an S300.
I can confirm that MBs in Malaysia (Euro-spec) also do not have the panic button on the key fob. Sadly, in Malaysia, an S500 is around USD270,000 for a locally-assembled unit or USD400,000 for a fully-imported unit from Germany. That's before you consider the standard of living in these countries.

I clearly stated that our S320 V6 cars are chaffeur driven. They were bought with the intentions of comfort not drag racing.
But youre right. Im just a 17 year old kid. What do i know. We should have just tried to get a chaffeur driven S65 AMG for the chaffeur so that he could do some "nice kills". .
I hate to say this but youre the one acting like a kid here. Grow up. Dont get obsessed with ages and stop with background checks here. Im just here to talk cars. And i dont like it when some super duper mod or some mr slow1 tries to finger me.
peace

Raunaq23, nothing against you at all and am not trying to finger you, bud. Just trying to maintain decorum on the thread.
BTW, I love your stable. What part of Delhi do you live in?

a panic button is a button that is located on top of the key (well at least in the US) its a big red button that if u hit will sound the alarm of the car. I use it when i loose my benzs in a big parking lot of at a stadium or something. it comes in handy.
