07 s550/SAT antenna build date that moved it to the roof AND how do you change radio
I have seen several cars that had an antenna on the trunk lid. My current service advisor with MB told me that it was the SAT antenna. She was NOT sure when the antenna got moved on the roof along with the bluetooth etc.
Anyone have an idea of what date of production I should look for ???
I found a early model build and the car DID NOT have SAT radio. And it could not be added to the OEM stereo. I can not believe that a $100k car did not come standard with a SAT radio.
My 08 E has it and I can not live without it.
ALSO how do you change the radio stations ???
thanks again

As to the radio stations:
1. Select the radio on the main display, then spin the command knob.
2. Select the radio on the gauge section display, then use the buttons on the steering wheel. This will seek stations.
3. To change via presets again bring up the radio on the main display, then select Presets with the command knob, scroll down to the one you want, and press the command knob.
4. To change presets using the gauge section display and the steering wheel buttons you need to have the update loaded in the system.
1. Select the radio on the main display, then spin the command knob.

People should write everything twice, I might spot most of it then.
Anyway, a pity they did not implement the same as on later models where one can do both, scan presets or scan frequencies from the steering wheel.

MY08 implemented complimentary 6-month SIRIUS subscription standard. PM your email address and I will forward the COMAND update DTB. I can also supply datacard(s) for vehicle(s) of interest listing initial delivery date, factory-installed equipment, etc.

You get the update with great difficulty. It constantly amazes me that we know more about the car than the people who sell and service it for us. It took me six months to get the local idiots to do it. I even handed them the service bulletin number. With it in hand that kept telling me there was no such thing. With that said a search should turn up the thread on this. I will look for more on this as well.
