thoughts on trunk spoiler - yes or no

I value your opinion and I am curious on what your thoughts are on the following:

Wifey saw a Mercedes s65 in the hood and likes the trunk spoiler. She asked if we could add one on her car. They are the same company that I purchased my trunk and roof spoilers from for my benz. So what do you guys think ??? yes or no

The 20" wheels have been installed

Also will the trunk lip spoiler block the 3rd light in the rear window ???

If the wife wants one - then do it. Why not? Simple, small, unobtrusive. A happy wife = happy life.

Yes, it's quite subtle so it's not ricer and it will make your wife happy. Do it.

No. It looks stuck on and does not flow with the lines of the car. (IMO)

They look cheap. Don't do it. Resale will probably be more limited (I would wonder how much it was going to cost to get removed). I was looking at an E350 a few years ago, low mileage, but had a few cosmetic mods like this, and I walked on it. Leave the screw on crap to the Hondas I say. It's a Benz--anyone who would think that a spoiler is going to make it "cooler" is confused.

Unless you're Thurston Howell III, don't call her "wifey."

I say no.

The rear of the W221 to me teeters the line between clean and classy, and fussy/messy, depending on what angle you look at it from. IMO the add on just adds some mess to the back, and it's totally interesting and fine with out it. Also, I'm not big on those stuck-on lip's a lot of the time, they just look.... well, stuck-on.

Do you honestly think the car looks better with that cheap piece of non-functional plastic taped to the trunk?

Do it.

If the wife is happy, I am twice as happy.

I would not do it. However if she is charge of the zipper, by all means install the spoiler.

If I were you and had concerned wife in focus, I'd definitely do it. With one little caveat,
I'd do two trunk spoilers, not one!
Go all the way. Double the pleasure.
Make her twice as happy
