2010 S CLASS vs OLDER S CLASS Sport package Tires

What tires are used on the 2010 S Class Sports Package?
Are they different from lets say the 2007-2009 S Class Sports Package?

I believe the MY2007-2009 S-Class uses Continental ContiProContact tires and the dealer will offer Michelin Primacy if you buy from them. I think they still use the same tires for the MY2010, but I'm not exactly sure on this though. Can anyone confirm what I know and/or answer the other part of the question?

In the case they use the same tires, they should be about the same.

Not sure about brands, but the sizes were the same. Some time during 2008 there was a change from summer tires to all-season tires.

I've heard the Continentals ride a bit harder and have less grip than Michelins, but last longer. The Michelins tend to ride softer and usually provide the better handling.

My 2007 S550 had continental Sports Contact. I think these were summer tires. My 2010 S550 has continental Pro Contact. I think these are all-season. I feel less grip on this. Tire squeaks more in corners.

In 2010 they went to all seasons conti pro contact, believe prior to 2010 you would get summer tires (contisport 3)

Whatever you do, don't use Contis.
They are the equivalent of 87 gas grade.
Michelins all the way(93 grade) then Sumitomos(91 grade) than ... nothing.

Unless City drive below 40 mph.

I totally agree. Which is why I have only put Michelins on my cars since 1998.
