No, all engines are carryovers from 2010.

Do you know the difference between the 2010 Blind Spot/Lane Keeping Assist and the "Active" version?

Sweet! My father has had the B&O system in his last two A8s and it is amazing!

Looking forward to getting a B&O system on the W221 I get in like 2014!

Wow that was fast. I wasn't expecting it till 2013 as I usually save my lunch money and pre-order and spec the vehicle to make sure I receive upon launch as I keep the vehicle through the body life.

It seems as if they have been cutting body life years as generations go as do Japanese. My rule of thumb since the w126, spend a little more on a Mercedes if bought at body launch and it's like new for 7 years, instead of buying a Lexus every 4 years because of body change as it's like almost spending double.

100k is alot to save, looks like I won't be eating lunch and dinner now as I will have to save more often to be able to purchase at the 2011 launch.

Without the new engine, these changes are minimal in a car at this level. Some new wheels, a new sound system, some electronic gizmos - that's small potatoes. The non-DFI engines in all the MB cars, are old technology as current standards go, and they are continuing for another year?

New engines are only for the CL for 2011. S-Class and other Mercedes models will get the new engines for the 2012 model year. The sole exception in the S-Class is the 2011 S63 AMG, which gets a new 5.5L turbo V8 for 2011. Its a monster of a car with 536 or 563 hp with the pp option.

S-Class is going 7 model years like any other Mercedes, the years haven't been shortened. New S-Class arrives at the end of 2012 in Europe and will land here in the U.S. as a 2014 in spring of 2013.

So two model years of the W221 will get the new engine - 2012 & 2013. Well, let them shake the bugs out of it with the CL first I guess.

Yeah if there are any bugs it will be on a small scale for the 2011MY because for 2012MY these new engines are going to go into everything Mercedes makes.

There is no BlueTEC for the S Class in 2011. I'm not sure about 2012 though. I will have to wait until preliminary information is available.

No new colors for 2011? Hoping for a beige-ish type of color (similar to Desert Silver of the 2003 MB S Class Model Year) to come out soon. It looks as if Canada has a beige color but US does not.

For S400 Hybrid, S550, and S63 AMG, Bang & Olufsen will cost $6,400. For S600 and S65 AMG, the system is standard.

Is that confirmed for the S600? B&O's website says that only the S65 is standard:

Looks like the 2011's are already affecting the 2007's on the market.

Autotrader search a 2007 S550 under 35k. A good bit out there, compared to a few months where that was an unatainable price.

Considering that most MY2007 cars were actually delivered in 2006 (i.e. over 4 years old), not a big surprise. Bear in mind that the remaining inventory is not the best quality-wise, though.
