The best or nothing
Look for a thread with brakes from S600 - it is a great upgrade and not expensive at all.. worth it I believe if you want to upgrade and plan on keeping your car longer.

I've got Brembo BBK both front/rear. I believe front is 405mm/6pot rear is 355(not sure)/4pot. If you're running 21/22's its a must for both looks and use. I paid about $6300 installed.

Can you post some pictures of the Brembos? I would love to see how they look. Im running on 21's and the stock brakes aren't that great.

I read the post on the S600 brake rotor/pad upgrade. Wow very inexpensive compared too all the other companies I've been looking into
$2,300.. I dont think you can get a better price.

I posted about my Euro Spec S600 brake upgrade in this group, and recently had some seat time in an otherwise stock S65, (what a car). My opinion is that the pedal feel as well as the brake response hauling the car down from say 75-85 mph are very similiar , and yeah in a different league from the Stock S550 brakes, which if you look closely are pretty much the same brakes as on the E class (a much lighter car).

My understanding of 405 mm Rotors is that you need at least 21" wheels to have enough clearance.

Hi, I have been contemplating upgrading as well but mainly for squeaking reasons ..finally though, I decided not to do it.

I'm not sure how hard you drive but I'd say do it only if you keep on planning keeping your car another at least 3-5 years.

If you think your stock brakes squeaks loud....my BBK really turns heads whenever I come to a complete stop (in a very bad way). Dont do it if you think this will solve your problem....They are really great to look at, its a night and day compared to stock and I think is a must for anyone running oversized wheels, but downside being no wear sensors, expensive replacement pads/rotors, and better have some 20+ wheels as spare because those 19" spares wont do you anygood when you have a flat. Also, at this point in time a W221 no longer draws the attention it once did no matter what you have in terms of mods so only go with this upgrade if you really are going to keep the car around (even after the next gen s-class release)

No brake squeaking after this upgrade. Eventually you will need to replace your pads and rotors, (probably around 30K). Just plan on upgrading at that point.

When I do need to replace the pads, the good thing is that there are many options available (Essentially same brakes as E63/SL63 etc).

Are you ok with the pedal 'feel' of the stock brakes? I never did like it and that's what drove me to seek this solution.

If it is only for squeaking reason have you tried to change break pads instead? its a cheaper alternative.
