What size do you run?
I'll never run bigger than 20s on any car I own, it messes up the ride, handling, braking and never looks good to my eyes. In fact, biggest I have right now are the Audi and Land Rover 19s. The latter I would've preferred to be 17s or 18s but they won't clear the calipers.
Crazy thing is even some Mini's come from the factory with 18" rims now, total madness why a car like that would need bigger than 17" which is a size that clears all the brake options and fills out the arches.

The wheels do look a little spindly compared to the sport package AMG wheels in the same size. I was going to get a set at $599 but the pic changed my mind.
Sonic recommends a 35 series for the front and a 30 for the rears which would make the tires and rims both look too small for the car. Their combination might be ok for a smaller Benz since their size tires didn't meet the load ratings compared to the OE Connies...missed by 1000 lbs.

No doubt that rim style can have a huge effect on what size the wheels looks. You can get 18s that look bigger than 19s and sometimes something as extreme as 18s looking bigger than 20s. My preference is to look for a style of wheel that looks big rather than is big so as to hit that sweet spot and not lose driveability.
When I see cars with rubber bands for tires and puny discs dwarfed by an often chrome rim, I'm just pleased I'm not driving that car.

or ebay...
If you go with 19's you're going to have to drop the car via air suspension or links to get a nice look. In my opinion 20's are the smallest you should go with on the S.

Old Cl body style with new cl rims
I know I may be breaking the law even asking, but does anyone have a picture of the latter style CL with the rims mentioned in this forum? Thanks
