Parents just picked up a 2010 S550 4matic
hey MB community... my parents just picked up 2010 S550 4matic
metallic diamond white/ black leather w/ premium 2.
It was an end-of-the-year model with 12 miles on it, and we got a pretty nice discount of ~$20k off the msrp.
No pics yet, they pick it up on tuesday. Plus, I'm in London right now for a semester abroad so the pics will be crappy cell phone pics sent from my dad haha...
SO.....are there any bugs/issues you guys have come across with the w221 models? I think i read something about the ABC somewhere...any help would be appreciated.
Whenever our cars have issues I'm always in charge of getting it fixed or fixing it, so some info would be awesome haha...
My family has always loved mercedes...it's nice to have a flagship sedan back in our stable. Next, I need to sell my Infiniti FX and get that e55 I want

If there is a problem, I take the car to the dealer. Since you have a MY2010 vehicle as well, you do not need to worry about fixing it yourself for the next 4 years. What's the point of talking about something that *may* break?

For example: E55's: check the IC pump
Nissan vq35 engine's: check for oil consumption problems
Stuff like that. Obviously if an issue comes up we'll get it fixed, I was just wondering if there's any issues people are having as a whole.

does anybody know why the brakes are so damn squeaky on this car? Even when they are warmed up they squeal at low speeds like coming to a stop sign, light, etc.....
I think they need to be checked...

My brakes squeek or squeal also, just something I've gotten used to after 6k miles I guess. Dunno, not bad enough for me to complain to dealer.
Also, you won't have an ABC issue because your car is 4Matic, which means you don't have the option of ABC. Did you mean something else??

these brakes are still so squeaky!
another thing, the center console armrest; the leather got really stretched out and the dealer is replacing it tomorrow under warranty...otherwise no problems with the car whatsoever.

Just realized I never threw pics in here.
Only ones I have; from my phone:
Lease is up soon, they're looking at getting another one. I love the S. I leave my car at school so I usually drive it whenever I'm home.
