Face lift and AMG kit
Hello all,
I am in the process of face lifting MY 2006 S class to look like 2011 S63
I originally tried to sell the car and get the real thing but wow is the depreceation horrible these days.
So gonna stick to the old car for a while longer and let her (its the wifes car) enjoy the new looking ride.
The car is still in WIP and I will post photos in coming days.

Not sure how and why but over here in Dubai the W221 came first as a MY 2006.

Day 2 Tuesday 7th Dec mostly electrical tests were carried out and various electrical componets checked by garage to confirm compatability wrt options like curve lights etc were checked.

For me the four AMG 20" rims with with used continental tires was approx USD 1500 including fixing but an additional USD 150 for the four wheel alignment and wheel balancing.
The parts together with paint job fixing and limited warranty was under USD 10000.
What is your experience with prices in US and Saudi Arabia.
I will be posting the finished product photos tommorrow.

Oh I know it's gonna look really good from the progress pics already. It's just thinking about spending $10k on the kit. I once spend almost that much on my BMW 6series to look like the M6, and kind of regret it now. I could of traded my car in and put that money on top to buy the real deal.

Okay guys and gals here is the final product compared with the original. Do give your feedback. I am going back tommorrow to have the final touch up on the wheels where the guy is gonna put a smoked foil for me.

Pictures never give the whole story but I think it looks fantastic! Great job on the before/after. I'm a big fan of the "if I got the money and can afford it... DO IT!". You did it and I think it came out looking very nice.

The price is all inclusive including the foil work on wheels tommorrow. The actual cost is actually little lower but that for my mates at the garage to offer to their customers. If u know what I mean
