Ipod Integration kit installation

Ipod Integration kit installation
I have a 2007 s550 without a I Pod connection.
The dealer said it will cost about $500 to install the kit. Does anyone know how to install the I Pod kit, and is it a lot of trouble? I was thinking of buying the kit and putting it in my self (I have taken dashes out of cars before, but never a mercedes)

just a call out:
my ipod connector in the glove compartment works only with iPod; NOT iPhone.
if you plan to connect an iPhone, confirm that it will work before spending $500 on the connector.

installation is plug and play, no cutting, soldering or anything required, took me 15minutes to do it in my car...
but rember you got to have AUX option coded with sds if that feature is not open..
and remember ipod interface can ONLY be used on the steering wheel and the info is shown in the instrumentcluster not in the comand screen, but otherwise its a good system mine can play the videos from my iphone aswell and everything i payed like 300$ for the kit at MB in Sweden

Just received the kit B67824567 (newest supports: charging on iphones and video). No instructions were included with kit. Other than pulling the comand unit, what did you need to pull to get access (panel under glove box, etc.?). Where did you mount the control box - it looks like it has a place for 2 screws and the kit also came with a ton of velcro.
