Have you tried pushing it down and holding for a few seconds? It works on mine, but not sure if it's because of the MY or Rear Seat Package.

Is this a SWB-model? I believe a European W221 may come without option code 223 (or 224) in which case the rear headrests are "manual", like on a 211.

I have to manually pull mine up, if the button is press to release the rear headrest.

Do you have option code 223? I thought it was standard in the US as I believe it is standard in Europe on LWB models (I may remember this incorrectly). 223 is the one that allows rear seats adjusted.

It's optional and it sucks. You cannot get the rear massage multi-contour seats even if you're willing to pay for it.

Manually adjusted, unless you have the adjustable rear seat option. Automatically rises on the CLs when a passenger is detected.
