I got my ghostlinks..need some help with install this week

Need some advice.

I got my links and installing on saturday. I have an 07 s550 with:

Front:
8.5 x 20 rim
255/35/20 tire

Rear:
10 x 20 rim
275/35/20 tire

What's the formula for dropping this one inch (Phat may know?) exactly.

I kinda just want to set it and forget it. I don't want to jack up the car and fine tune it over and over and risk getting the rights and lefts out of measurement.

ghost said it's about 6-7mm but it's not exact science as they say.

if you have some feedback would great appreciated it.

Pics to be posted this weekend!

Thanks members!

Thanks.

Just install the rear first, since they are more pain in the *** than front ones. Because you have to be under the car removing them, and its kinda tricky because the stock link doesnt pop out as easily as they claim, plus on top of that there is not that much space for you to put both of your hands to reach the link. And for the front first make sure the links are the same length and then install them, even if you mess up one of the side, its easy to adjust it just jack up the car. Good luck

the thing about the links is, stop asking questions and just install it, serious.

Trust me, you will not be install it once and forget it. For the first day you'll find yourself raising it up and down to find the "perfect" height for yourself.

Did the front then did the rear, but I believe 5mm would give you about a 1.25" drop according to the instructions. I'd start from there.

stop scaring the guy. If you're handy and got a jack and some kick stands you can get this done in an hour and a half with breaks in between.

Get a long flathead screw driver, it'll be handy. I find twisting it gets it out easier than pulling it straight out. Just be careful with the sensors.

Hi Guys,

I want to first thanks everyone for supplying their input. So I got them installed this weekend. Fronts were quick, rear is quick too if you have ramps and just get underneath the car, i used a piece of old drywall to slide underneath. It took about 45 minutes front and back.

Phone picture for now. When the weather is warmer, I'll take better shots.

One thing worth noting, I have 20's, I didn't want it drop aggresively.

The car rides the same! I'm happy.

Thanks again guys.

Those 20"s don't look to bad, maybe it's the style but I like it.

That drop doesn't look l a drop at all. I would try to drop it until you have a 1 finger gap all around. That's probably the 1/2 that Phat is talking about.

You don't have to worry about rubbing. Our cars seems to sit higher than others somehow. Even with this drop, I don't get rubbing on the same bumps that the C300 rub on stock height. So the wife can drive it too.

thanks phat, dannie..

i'm thinking I will drop it to get rid of that 1/2 inch gap.

Question do you guys..

when you dropped it, did you get an alignment after?

I know it's recommended but I read somewhere that it's not needed (forgot where), as my drop is not significant.

thanks dannie for the comments on the 20's. AFter dropping it, it made the rims look much better. I started to hate the way the car looked with no drop!

Thanks.

since you can't correct camber on our cars, I don't think an alignment would make any difference.
