s320 come to short halt when putting foot down, then takes off. Any ideas??

s320 come to short halt when putting foot down, then takes off. Any ideas??
Hi guys,
In my 07 320 CDI, when i take off fast, putting the food down, the car seems to choke up first then kicks in, like it comes to a near halt? This happens always when putting the foot down from takeoff. And sometimes when putting the foot down when at really low speed. I cant imagine this being normal?
So just to try explain, lets say your travelling at 15mph and then put the foot down u feel the car kick in picks up a a little then chokes up kinda throws you forward, then the car takes off.. the halt lasts about a second.
I only have the car a few months so i dont know, a friend was saying it could be a safety function but to me it feels less safe that way. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Thanks.

Mine does not behave like yours either, if I interpret your description right.
At full acceleration from standstill traction control may take control and then you feel like the engine stalled momentarily. This can happen on a dry road too.

I have 07 s550....similar symptom, but no where near what I would call a "stall"....push the pedal hard and there is a hesitation for about 1/2 to 1 second of silence before the engine seems to react...quite irritating...deal has said "normal operation"....

Prash - Thanks for the update....For all those with an s550...is there any delay when putting foot down when travelling slowly (25-35 mph)? I get a hesitation of 1/2 second or so before anything happens (see my earlier post above)...
