just had the car wrapped
Just got my benz wrapped with flat black 3M foil today, took the guys about 7 hours and they were done with the whole car, I gotta say its amazing what they can do theese days, im REALLY picky about the stuff the happens to my car so I went thru the car VERY closy and there is nothing to be said about what was done, I was affraid my parking sensors would have to be gloss black still, but they just wrapped on top of the, the Benz sensors are apparently so good that it still works
now my problem is just I think my temporary wheels are so ugly while I wait for the new ones to be shipped to me

Very nice.
Just be VERY VERY careful not to scratch the wrap.!!!
If you scratch it.....well....you're done. Cannot buff it out like paint.
Thats the only bad thing about it.
You need to be a little more aware of the finish.

actually with the 3M foil you can heat scrathes out, the guy showed me before he cut out for the sunroof, then he made a scratch and took a heatpistol and pointed on the scratch and it dissapeared..
thats surfarce scratches of course from wash etc, if some guy keys the car then I know im ****ed

As long as the paint isnt fresh it will be like removing a giant sticker, if its fresh paint you will remove the paint also when you take it off hehe :-)

I'm sure getting the car wrapped would be way cheaper then getting it painted that way. I wonder if that stuff would be ok in snowy climates...

Cant see it beeing a problem, 90% of all taxi's in my country is wrapped to protect the paint so when they sell the car they remove the wrap and have a like new paint, i live in scandinavia so we have plenty of snow

flatwhite is awesome I wanted that aswell, but because the car is black from the beginning you would see it right away when you open the doors, now because my car was black to begin with you dont notice anything..
the same company that did mine, did my friends 300C in flat white a week before they did mine, looks amazing in real life with the flat white

tint though, if you just want normal tint, 150 should get you done. for around 500 you should be able to get quality ceramic tint already

MBWorld Fanatic!
i found a place in NYC that might do mine for around $2000. I told them my budget was 2500MAX and they quoted me 3750. So lets see!
