I believe it's plastic? Also can you ask him if the rear bumper 1 piece or the lower defueser comes apart? The oem bumper is 2 piece (bumper/defueser). Thanks

Did they give you an explanation on the excessive price for shipping?

NY and MA is like 4 hrs away. I don't get why shipping to NY $1k more compared to MA? If he ever decide to lower his prices, I'll consider buying. Maybe have him do a group buy price?

actually standard shipping is 2500 via some service ( don't know). The $1500 is via ship if you can wait 2-3 months as what they claim.

What I did was added the item to the shopping cart as if I was doing a check out. And filled in the info. And shipping came out to $1500. And it did give me an approximate delivery time. But I can't recall.

i have some more questions if you don't mind asking them as well since you already talking to them

1) do they have picture of the sides of rear bumper on the car? sometimes that part is the hardest part to line up and fit well, especially with the rear wheel arc
2) what are the materials exactly? not sure what pp means. is it more like fiber glass? or abs plastics?
3) for the LED lights up front, is it a straight forward plug and play to factory system? or it's going to be creative wire splicing and connect it to either fogs or other sources? would that throw any error codes?

i think in the end i am still kind of bugged by the shipping cost. so for 2500, that's air freight and it will arrive at my door step in 10-14 days? they are going to take care of all the custom / duties when it arrives here in the US? same thing for the 1500 ocean freight. both seems very high.

funny, i am actually from hong kong myself, looking at their address that's so familiar. sux when we are all 7000+ miles away

thanks again jadeethan!!!

Good questions! I was thinking about the LED's as well and how they operate. From what I can see he's using the stock lights so the LED's probably act as our regular fogs.

I started a good communication thread with him already. Keep them coming and then I"ll send it over to him...

Thanks

well folks..i came across this kit on ebay based in Cali:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/370553625470...#ht_500wt_1027

Comes out cheaper overall..i'm not ready to pull the trigger yet..but maybe someone has experience with this one?

Else this would be a cheaper alternative...note I don't know this ebay merchant.

Thanks

Also i'm also wondering if you would know if fiberglass is good as this kit is made of fiberglass..as opposed to the flexible material.

Thanks.

if there is a choice abs / plastic for sure is better. fiber glass is "hard" so if you hit something, it will crack very easily like that. have had my good share of experience on this

btw, the price is a lot better

I wouldn't get fiberglass. It gets rock chips really easy and crack easily also. Had them on my older cars, and wouldn't suggest it to anyone. Another is fitment issues. It will not fit correctly and require a lot of work to make them fit 100%. IMO

to be fair, rock chips somewhat has to do with the painting. a good shop will do the primer and painting differently and if done right, end result shouldn't be much different from abs material or factory bumper. and in terms of fitment, it's all about the manufacturer. the fitment can be done as accurate as it can get and fit very well. i have had a few wald body kits on my previous cars, fitment were all perfect with no modification. but i did run into bad frp kits before. on the other hand my friend did get a body kit that is urethane, didn't fit well, and it's far more painful to "fix"

bottom line i think it goes back to manufacturer and body shop for fitment and paint quality. but the cracking part, yes... if your car is lowered and you scrape hard, it's likely that you will crack it somewhere

you mentioned defueser, did you mean the black plastic panel on the lower portion of the bumper?
