humming sound inside the cabin?

Is your S whisper quiet inside? I don't know if I'm tripping but I recently notice a loud humming sound coming from the passenger side and that annoying ticking sound that the service department said that it's from the valve and it's normal. I hear less engine noise in a camry.

I have been noticing this lately too and it's rather annoying. It sounds like the A/C fans are blowing sometimes when the entire unit is turned off. I have no idea what it is and I could swear that it didn't used to do that.

That's exactly what it sounds like. U planning to bring it in? I'm out of warranty so I'm hesitant to waste my money on just having them tell me "It's normal"

I'd love to bring it in but I'm traveling 99% right now and I'm only in Cali on Fridays and Saturdays so I don't have a lot of time. I'll probably try over the holidays though when I'm home for a week, I'll let you know what they say.

I started this week out in Philly, going to be out here every week for at least 4/5 months. Time to rack up lots and lots of airline miles lol, at least you have a nice short commute

I have some similar humming/winding sound coming from my Instrument area. Can't pinpoint it.

Ok I feel retarded, my rear A/C was on very low and that's what was making the blowing sound. I put my hand over the back vents and didn't feel anything and I tried making sure it was off from the command screen but guess I didn't do it right. Now that I make sure the rear A/C is off I don't hear the blowing anymore. Hope that's all that your issue is too!

I have the same sound...not sure what is up, but definitely in the front/dash area, not the rear.

Anyone know if there is an easy way to check diagnostics for the climate control(s) ???
