2010 + got the Ipod/Aux in standard. You'd just need to add the BT audio adapter.

There are two types of BT adapters. A "dumb" adapter simply receives BT audio from your device and outputs it to a headphone jack. You connect a cable from the jack to the Aux In on the car, pair your phone to the adapter, run power to the adapter (usually a USB) and you're done. They're inexpensive (around $30). I've used the Miccus BluBridge BT Audio Adapter for this purpose and it works well. A couple of drawbacks: No song info, no control via COMAND, device may run out of charge requiring you to manually turn it on depending on how often you use it. Works for any device, Apple or Android.

A "smart" adapter snaps into the car's IPod receptacle and tricks the car into thinking your device is connected directly. You pair your device to it like a dumb adapter, but it draws power from the iPod receptacle. It also supports the transmission of metadata like artist/title info and allows for control via the COMAND and steering wheel buttons.

For 2007-2009 221s the MusicLink ML D100 is a "smart" adapter for cars that have had the iPod/Aux in upgrade, available on EBay.

For 2010-2013 the ViseeO Tune2air WMA1000 does the trick. Available on Amazon for $80. The OEM Mercedes Benz Media Interface Plus is available at the dealer or on Ebay for around $300.

Lastly, for 2007-2009 if you're having the dealer install the IPod/Aux In kit, have them also install a 12v receptacle in the glovebox.
I have a 2013 S63. I can't believe that it doesn't have audio/music streaming. My friend's Honda Accord has it but a S63 doesn't have it...

I already have a AUX input and also a USB and 12V plug in the glove compartment.

Would ViseeO Tune2air WMA1000 work with a Samsung Note 2(android) or it has be an Apple ipod/iphone?

What's the difference between ViseeO Tune2air WMA1000 and ViseeO Tune2air WMA2000 or 3000?

What's the difference between ViseeO Tune2air WMA1000 and Mercedes Media interface(or do I already have that)?

Thank in advance

The 221 does not have and can't get OEM Bluetooth audio streaming. Older 221s need the optional IPod kit and a Tune2Air. 2010 up just need Tune2Air.

You do not need the $350 Media Interface Plus. For streaming BT audio on 2010+ you only need the $80 Tune2Air adapter. MIP has streaming BT Audio disabled when installed on a 221. It's worthless.

Hey guys,

I just purchased a 2007 S550 and noticed that the streaming is not present. I was told you that the telematic update and adding the aux would help?

Anyone have the CD for rent? Please pm me with the details or any new ways of going about this. Thank you.

I also had a question about this. I thought there was no bluetooth unless the receiver was added to the center console. I was playing around with Comand and found the bluetooth options and it actually found my phone and gave me a pairing menu. I tried to pair it to my phone and it seemed to work, but the phone still doesn't work. Is that because I don't have the attachment in the center console?

You do not have the "PUCK" in the console? Then that is your issue. If you do have it, you use the PUCK to pair, by pressing the button down for 3 seconds until it blinks then there is a specific code you need to use to pair them both. starts with a 6 dont know off the top of my head.

The puck will give you BT phone. BT audio is a different system. On the 2010+ a simple $80 adapter from Amazon is the fix. On the 07-09, you need to have had the optional iPod/Aux In dealer installed to add the BT Audio adapter.

The 5 digit code is inside the puck...slide off the back plate and it is inside. The button to push down is near the top of the puck and it is the MB emblem

You might want to try this viseeousa tune2air. Been using this BT adapter in my car and it perfectly do wireless streaming. No interruption and very easy to use. I have the 3000A model plugged to MMI port of my car.

I have an early build W221 S600. There's nothing at all in the glovebox and my dealer is telling me that my car "just didn't have it and it's not applicable". Help!

You would need the iPod kit installed which are very hard to find though on eBay you might get lucky and find one with the wiring harness. I got lucky and found the iPod kit with the harness for my 2007 S550 and I'm using the Tune2Air with it.

That just handles the telephone calls, you won't get music to play through it, you need the iPod kit for that.

You're not going to get bluetooth audio from that device. You need Aux enabled in your command and the iPod kit.
