S63/65 bumpers installed oem parts

Finally got the bumpers on with s63 exhaust and facelifted side mirrors.
fyi, ppl who want to do this conversion with distronic. you will need to buy original mercedes grill to use distronic. the fake/copy on one ebay will not work with distronic, so i had to buy the factory one.. Not sure if you can tell, i painted the side mirrors gloss black.. Special thanks to the guys at C&C collision in pasadena, awsome job the best work you will find in LA. Thanks pearlpower for the lowering by star... thanks phatisfy for sharing some info with me about the parts i needed... Thanks to Chris the Swede for info on grill/distronic...

Enjoy

I have the aftermarket 2010 and up S65 grill for sale if anyone is interested.. asking 150. will include the LITTLE round mercedes emblem.

Car looks good! Is that oem or aftermarket kit? Any sound clips of the exhaust by any chance?

Looks great.
Can you guys tell me if there is a difference in s63 vs s65 rear bumpers? It seems to me that 63 is same as 550 but insert is shorter to accommodate the extra tips. Where the 65 bumper is slightly different, it looks like the insert is thicker?

Thanks

Car looks great!

I just did the same to my dads S class but went for the 65 tips, looks great.

Also went for the LED front headlights too, just waiting for a sams module from the US and its all ready!

May I ask how come you didnt also go for the facelift headlights?
It would look great on your car!

Actually...I think all you need is the little OEM plate...You dont need the hole super expensive grill. I bought the aftermarket one and the OEM plate.

Geese that turned out looking gorgeous, rims and stance is perfect! I had a few questions and wonder if you guys could help me out? My dad has a 07 S65 and i talked him into doing the updates.

lei996tt i wanted to know if you had the part # for the front bumper (2010 [+] AMG) and if there was any trouble with programming it because it has no side maker lights?

Also as far as the grille you guys say i can go ahead and get the ebay grille and just order the distronic plate from mercedes?

The big question pertains to the lights, I've read there are a few ways of going about it.
1. reprogramming the old sam (how many hours/if possible)?
2. purchasing the new sam for the updated model (any clue on pricing)?
3. purchasing a "cable kit" (how difficult of a install if anyone has dared)?

I would greatly appreciate any information that you guys are able to share! Thanks!!

I have just got an S65 body kit fitted with an aftermarket grille, and have run into this signal distortion problem.

Does anyone have the part number and price for the OEM plate please? And does it definitely fix the problem?

I hardly ever use distronic plus, but I'm worry that it will affect the resell value of the car having the "distronic plus currently unavailable" error coming up so often.

Thanks.
