Hi everyone! I'm looking to buy a used S Class. I've found two possible options and I'd like to know your opinion on which one offers the best deal. They're both priced at $54,000.

Option #1) 2010 S550. 29,000 miles. Basic - doesn't even have Premium 1.

Option #2) 2011 S550. 38,000 miles. Premium 1 & 2 Package. (Keyless Go, Multi-contour seats, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Assist, Rearview Camera, Rear Entertainment System, etc...)

Do you think the 10,000 miles difference is worth the Premium packages? And do you think there's much difference between 2010 and 2011 model year? I plan on keeping the car for at least 5 years (60,000 miles). Thanks in advance!

 

2011 all the way. Why have a "basic" S class? What is the price difference?

 

There's basically no price difference (both $54,000) But the 2010 has 10,000 less miles.

 

+1 on 2011

 

I'm pretty sure 2010+ got the massage seats, keyless go and rear camera standard, but the driver assist and rear entertainment packages would tip me toward the 2011 irrespective of the mileage, provided the cars were otherwise identical.

Go with the 2011. Although they are the same price and different mileage, you are getting more with the 2011 because of the added options.

You failed to mention that the 2011 had the AMG package! 2011!

 

AMG Package wasn't listed on dealer site! Crazy, huh? And I didn't even notice from the pictures. Thanks for the VIN info!
