Deals on 2012 550 help please
Hi All,
My dad is in the market for a 2012 s550 in south Florida. Does anyone know what kind of incentives or trunk money there is on the car. He is being quoted 15k off the window. Msrp is 99005. What kind of numbers are you all seeing?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also he is buying not leasing don't know if that matters. One last question does anyone know the release date of the new s class?

15k off is pretty good. If that dont include conquest or USAA or Loyalty then you can bring the price further down, these are incentives from MB and are subtracted after a deal\selling price of the car has been made. You get the additional discount and dealer gets reimbursed...
Conquest incentive = $4000
USAA incentive = $4000 + can be combined with MB loyalty another $2000
Conquest incentive = $4000

Thank you for the prompt reply. He currently owns a Mercedes so that would translate to the 2k loyalty and his other car is an Audi so he gets the conquest for 4k right?
Do you know of any trunk money on the car? Also I know the 2013 should be out shortly so would it make sense to maybe wait a month or two?

Cannot combine conquest and loyalty. Only USAA and loyalty can be combined. Any member of the family could belong to USAA and pass that discount over.
There is $3,100 in "hold back" money

So basically in his case assuming counting the 4k loyalty they are actually discounting the car 11k.
Didn't mb have something like 10k in trunk money last year on s classes?

Just curious but knowing a the 2014 is changing is he in a rush? Also there is a dealer up here in MD which has a 2011 on the lot which I am sure he could get a steal on...

The man wants what the man wants (or, in this case, I guess it's the man's dad). There are a wide variety of reasons which could drive such a decision - timing, price sensitivity, emotional factors...
Would I do the same thing? No, I'd wait for the new car and pick up something short term at little cost to myself. But, that's just me, and I'm a little bit nuts when it comes to cars.
The 2012 S-Class is an excellent car, especially with the new TT V-8, so I wouldn't fault the guy for making that choice.
EDIT: And to the OP, I would recommend pushing for $15k back of INVOICE, not of sticker. That was my successful approach in Oct. 2010.

My dealer has a brand new 2011 S 550.
MSRP of $97,500 for almost $22k off----$75,900.
Iridium silver with ash leather.
