Mine is a US (LWB) model with Rear Seat Package (for some reason, Rear Active Seats are not available here), and it does have a wood panel on the rear armrest with no buttons.

Already looking for wintersetup for THE S-class.
Think 19" is max for wintertyres? Would I go for 19" 5 spoke AMG rims or would I take the same Carlsson rims as on the E-class?
E-class has THE Carlssons as summersetup and 5 spoke amg rims as wintersetup.

Ordered the 19" Carlsson 1/16 rims with pirelli tires for the wintersetup.
E-class summersetup = S-class wintersetup

When the car is delivered I will not be able to call my thread '... project' or '... mods' because I will not spend extra thousands on this car.
The only mods I am considering are the S600 keypad wood cover in black ash and I would like some embossed or embroidered (mercedes or amg or custom) logo in the headrests.

Would be great, if you can get similar letters for registration, when the car gets delivered.(I know here in NL we cannot choose anyhow)

Early delivery = Car arrived this weekend at the dealer.
Numberplate is still a photoshop.
Current numberplate on the E-class is 247 - TIM (birthay-name)
On the S it will be the reverse combination : 9 - TIM - 247
The car will stay 3 months at the dealership and on the road in january 2013 ( stupid accountants
).
