Voice Command

You guys have much luck using voice commands for Navigation?
I tried a few times but seems like it does not recognize my commands most of the time...kinda frustrating so I just use the mouse.

Works fine for me ..even in Dutch.
However, I did do the speech-training thing in the comand menu ,maybe if you do this, it helps to recognize your voice a bit better?

Does this (speech-training) apply to the 2008 MY?

Even my 2001 c class had speech training. Should be in command menu somewhere or just activate and say help.

"To optimize speech recognition for your voice follow the individualization process ( page 330)."

S Class manual:
Order No. 6515 2244 13 Part No. 221 584 22 82 USA Edition A 2008

Speech recognition training - AKA Voice Control Individualization

You're welcome.

I use the pdf version from the MBUSA site owner's section. It's easy to search.
All model years manuals are available from here

The title of the file I have is 2008_s550_s5504matic_s600_s63amg_s65amg.pdf

Using voice command versus manually entering info.

Just curious how many of you guys are using the voice commands most of time or rather using the mouse to change/input info.
Seems like it is actually faster to do things manually.

I use it all the time for the phone, once in a while for cd control. Everything else is faster and easier with regular controls At least in earlier years.
Maybe that's a testament to how good controls are in this car (personal opinion here, no flaming)
