Drive Dynamic/Multi-Contour Seat Problem
I bought a 2008 S550 on Thursday from a dealer about 250 miles away.
While on the test drive, everything worked perfectly.
On the drive home, the drive dynamic/multi contour seat partially stopped working. It looks like the driver side seat bottom, right side air bladder is not holding air. The lumbar support air bladder(s) also seem iffy.
The car is CPO with factory coverage ended only 3 days ago.
Has anyone gotten the seat air bladders covered under CPO? If it helps, I do have the CPO extended coverage up to 135K. I am hoping our dealer would cover this under goodwill since it is only 3 days out of the new car warranty and we are good customers, but one never knows.
I did find two service bulletins that seem to apply to the car with this topic.
We did a 1 hr long test drive and everything worked great.

I believe just a single bladder insert is like 400 bucks? My driver right side deflates. And passenger left side doesn't work at all. I'm holding off till next year to fix

Yep. The "adaptor" as it's called, is costly. The pump could also be a factor, but it's usually a blown bladder, if you will. Seat back bladder is $400 in part by itself. Clearing the faults and it works until software shuts the pump down and then you again get a fault. Saftety measure. A went through the whole deal. PM mean if I can be of help. Good luck.

Thank you. MBUSA and the selling dealer are covering the repair. Parts are on order. I expect the repair to be done in the next week or so. I have to say kudos to MBUSA and the selling dealer. The car is superior to anything that I have owned before.
