2 Questions

Hi guys,

Just got my S-class and loving it! Installed clear sidemarkers and ebay facelift tail lights but 2 questions.

One is : the ebay tail lights have a slight gap at the top.... for those who have done this mod do water go in? theres a lot of wires inside....

Second is: there is a rattle thats driving me nuts inside the driver armrest storage. whenever i close the armest there is a metal rattling noise! I tried tightening the screw below it but no dice. Anyone know how to open the driver armest storage?

Thanks and have a great weekend!

I think a gap at the top of the rear lights is not normal, please check for correct installation of the units.

Armrest noise:
FYI-- I would not describe my noise as a "rattle"---more of a squeek when I put pressure on the top of the arm rest. Turned out to be the plastic arms and latches under the top used to secure the top closed and openeable from either side. A little vaseline lube on the bearing points and it was quiet. My not be your issue but was sure annoying to me.

So heres the pic of the tail lights, however I noticed the stock tail lights have the gap as well.

As for the driver's arm rest I think I have to remove the door panel
Maybe my dealer will goodwill it.

Cheers!

In that case you can ask yourself if an upgrade is really an upgrade ..

Because I am sure that I can drive through a tropcal rainstorm with the original old style rear-units and not a drop would get in their

Please recheck fitment and installation?

Where did you both get the units from ?Maybe categoric for this fabrication ..

And you really think the oem light is water proof up there...Comon...Only place it is a bit water proof is the seal to the inside. Other wise water can travel freely behind the light.
