That would be a good idea if someone can wire them up correctly.

All this worry about heat. I have used my kit for almost a year now and never even thought about it or having anything happen? The 2 resistors sits on a metal mounting plate that also cools it of and that plate is screwed on the chassi and sits totaly free in open air and not near other looms as you can see pictured in my project thread. Very proffesional solution. You engine and exhaust also get very hot and even hotter and no one worry about that for some reason!! So this is no problem at all. Just place them right and your home free and never have to worry about it.

Good to know. Just want to be on the safe side. Because like I said, these resistors get extremely hot! I had it mouned behind my front bumper and it felt like it was turning all the plastic around it soft. I guess if nothing happend so far,it's safe?

Great job!!! Looks so much better.

Can you please clarify few things:

1. Why new headlights didn't come in with ECUs/Ballasts, I thought it's one assembly package?
2. How much did you pay for those new ECUs/Ballasts? Do you have part #’s for them?
3. Where did you order harness kit?

2. I bought them used from Chris The Swede, PM him for pricing, i bought them together from him with other parts, so dont know separate peice pricing

The W220 what the prior generation of the S The W221 is the current version. The bodies are radically different, so I do not think this can be done.

beater with a heater
how do you get it all for $2600? bumper, grill, drl, headlights, side marker.. though the S65 front end might be different because of the 6 parking sensor holes that are not on the 07 Distronic Plus vehicle... Oh well great find I guess since they were used.

hey just read a couple things about the headlight conversion and besides the side mirrors which i also need .....couple things id like for you to help me with that im not completely clear about

1.the wire harness how much

2.i can get the headlight housings used on ebay but after i have them can i use the ballast from my old headlights and bulbs.

3.i know that i would have to buy the 6 small harddrive looking plates how much do they cost and do i have to get them coded if so do you know how to?

4.how much would everything cost me individually to make this work

i know alot of questions have been answered but not clearly for me to understand fully

ok well im definitely i would love to buy a wire harness from you and the modules question isnt really answered can i just buy the 6 new modules in the dealer and have them working or do i have to tell them to factory code it or does someone outside the dealer have to code it because ull have to tweak the modules? idk if my question is clear

sorry for the questions just like to be 100% because i get my used headlights this week just wana know everything i need u know
