Facelift Completed 100%

Finally got my headlight installed. Got the facelift harness from Chris yesterday, installed it myself right away, pretty easy installation. Now i am 100% facelifted.
Here are pics before and after. Pics are taken on a phone so they arent best quality, will take better pics later.
Also i was going to make installation video but my slr failed at the last moment.

Thanks goes to:
Chris The Swede - for answering hundreds of my questions and for the harness kit
J.T.S550 - for helping me find headlights for a good price

EDIT:

Some info for those who want to do the same upgrade:

Things needed for new headlights:
1x Harness Kit
6x ECUs/Ballasts for Headlights
2x Headlights

Headlights part#:
My car has Active-Cornering and No Night-Vision, so i used these part#s
These are suppressed part#s
221 820 57 59
221 820 58 59
The new part#s
221 820 13 59

Great job
Only one thing to do , update your signature with the new mirrors installed , do not change the angle of the shot

looking good!

Did you have to get a new updated SAMS?

Did you hook up your LED's to the new harness as well?

Thanks.

No, i just left it connected to my old sidemarkers, i want to connect them to the harness later, just to see if there is a difference in color/brightness

If you have dimmable DRLs the harnes will dim them when they are suposed to be dimmed. NO SAM needed for this kit. No programming eighter for the modules.

You mean instead of having your headlights on? I wouldn't think so. They might be bright, but good luck explaining that to the police why you decided to leave your headlights off when you get pulled over.

What was your final cost for the headlight upgrade, I notice that you didn't mention a SAM upgrade?

Thanks,
Tony

I read a lot, but not all. I was under impression that, that everyone that have done the facelift headlights upgrade, has also upgraded the SAM. It's a definite plus if that's not the case, because my conversion should be 90% complete this week (not to include the facelift headlights and the big brake kit).

Regards,
Tony

They are visible during daytime and night time very well, but definately not enough for night time, i mean you cant really see the road very well during driving

Its not that hard, just bunch of unscrewing, just follow instructions and double check everything

I heard that some people who did sam upgrade have issues. Logically thinking this kit should be better for car because you dont program anything and dont and leave all the lightning control systems original, only harness is changed.

How are the resistor on that harness? When I tired them exact resistor with my led drl lights, it got so hot. It could probably melt things around it? After a good night/day of driving with the lights on. Can you tell me if the resistor are extremely hot? I'm looking to do the lights. But I'm affraid of that reason. Thanks

Well yeah resistors do get hot, but first they are mounted to a car frame and there are a lot of room around it. What i did in addition to that is, after i put everything in place, i took flashlight and looked underneath the headlights to see which wires might get close to resistors and strapped each of them away from resistors with these things

and also wrapped the "magic box" on the harness in plastic wrap to make it waterproof.

You should use them thermal wrap. The ones people use to wrap up there intake manifolds on them turboed cars. I was thinking that if I were to do the conversion in the future. Good job on the car!
