should I change my bumper?
since I got rear ended, the bumper is probably going to be replaced or at least funded to be. trying to decide if I kept everything else stock and change the rear bumper to something else, say like an S65 bumper, how would it look. I don't care for the face lift bumpers and especially the front, it seems every car has them now.

I say go for the new bumper. If you don't need to pay for it, why not? Plus, the S65 tips are cheaper than the s63 tips right now too, don't know why, but take advantage of it!

Where can I find the tips and bumper? I checked on eBay and they're mostly after market. Does anyone knows the quality of those

Watch out for the cheap low quality made tips on eBay. Mine are s63 but the craftsmanship on these are just like oem quality. And they don't sell just the tips at the dealer. Comes with the whole muffler.

Tough to say, since eBay has all kinds of brands there. I think I remember s65 tips being around $200 for the pair. Mercedes hasn't changed their design since 2007. I'm sure someone will chime in with input on where to get them soon.

I take that the insurance will cover this...if so here is what I would do..
The insurance company will pay for the damages...they will just cut a check to the body shop..work with the body shop and tell them you want to upgrade instead of stock the s63 rear bumper and tips. The cost from the insurance company check is usually a little bloated to cover labor, paint and of course parts.
With the money that you get, see if you can switch that out with the rear s63 bumper and tips..that may even go below the reimbursement..or if it goes over a little it will come out of your pocket (assuming that it's a small fee and worth this route)..
I have done that before and I know people who have done that...it's not illegal.
Good luck

Of course!!Take something completely different like Wald ,Lorinser or another tuner ,personally I like the Lorinser with the triangular exhausts integrated.
