And with a little tune, it will leave S63 in the dust all while having a much more luxurious interior
Btw, how do you like your BMW??
considering a 7 but i don't think i had my S for long enough to just completely move onto a new make/model. Im still in love with the w221, although i have seen some competitive pricing on a few 750's

Sorry, totally overlooked your post!

I switched to the BMW for a change (and to bridge until the W222 comes out) and posted a few of my impressions in another thread:

https://mbworld.org/forums/new-s-cla...s-class-2.html

Unlike the old Bangle-butt BMW's, which were just not pretty (the 7 series was truly ugly IMO), the current crop of 5/6/7 series cars look awesome and make BMW a real alternative.

So, overall the BMW is a very nice car. The Twin turbo is powerful, yet not a good as the new MB TT V8. I like the transmission shift patterns in the SPORT setting as well.

Still love the looks of the S-Class and hoping that the new model look great as well. Not like the SL where the older one just looks better than its replacement.

One big rant; I am getting really annoyed by BMW having chosen the path of run-flat tires. Neither performance nor comfortable, they are bumpy like a cold performance tire in the winter. Just crap at $500+ a tire!

The BMW already has a smaller trunk with no spare, car jack, or tire kit, so this makes a swap to normal tires a bit of a gamble...

bmw m6
ok i know this is a MB forum but i just wanted your guys thoughts. i found white/black bmw m6 with CPO warranty for $40,500

34k miles
smg transmission
carbon fiber package
carbon fiber roof
custom exhaust
AC Schnitzer trunk wing
Lowered
20" aftermarket racing wheels

I'm thinking about adding front CF lip and rear CF diffuser
Adding 2010 led taillights for the updated look
clear euro side marker to replace amber in headlights, and of course 8000k HALO's for the high beams ... i love the european look

Thoughts?
Stick to MB or run around in this m6 for a year or so?
all those mods are fairly cheap but i don't want to lose on the resale, i don't keep cars for very long, maybe 15 months

Opinions? The main deal maker is the 40k price tag with CPO warranty

V10 is so appealing, youtube videos have me dazed... ever since my s550 was flooded I've been driving a rental kia. LOL

I've driven the M6 before and wow is it a ton of fun. It's very fast and the sound is incredible. Only downside will be that it sucks gas like no one's business- about 8-10 mpg if you're easy, about 6-8 if you drive like a race car. You'll have to fill it up often. Go take a test drive and try it out. I was very impressed.

Does the one you're looking at have the extended leather? They're much nicer on the inside when the dash and door panels are leather lined.

They are fun cars, but personally I just don't like the SMG tranny and am not too fond of the front-end. What year is this actually?

I'd still go the for a 600 S-Class or 2008+CL maybe. Besides you'll beat the M6 (I know if have) and your gas milage will be much better

Quote: Just got home 5 minutes ago, Today i got the DRLs working and i put the tips on. My exhaust shop recommended leaving the secondary cats and if i want more rumble i can always cut them out later on.
For now just straight pipe in place of the resonator. I think it sounds nice and very sedated... Appropriate and fitting for this car. I will most likely go louder but i need to make sure i retain the class.

Keep in mind the car still has not been washed or waxed since the new paint job, i wanted to wait until after i did all work. Going for a major detail tomorrow morning
