You would need a UHI (pse search forum) and could use a Viseoo 'puck' or an original one.

There are several on ebay but this looks like the correct one. Part Number B6 787 6131 is the black one with MB emblem. Can anyone verify this will work for 2007 S550.

I have one of those silver ones on my R-Class and it came out of my friend's 07 S550. I think the black ones are newer models. To be honest, if I'm given the choice between the silver and black, provided they have the same functionality, I'd go with silver because I think it looks so much cooler.

Have the exact unit that dealer installed when 07 was delivered. Works on the iPhones.

If you look hard enough you'll find the 5878 (silver style) for closer to $100 on eBay.

07 s550 have 2.1 bluetooth tech., it will syn with iPhone 4, but will not syn with iPhone 4s or 5 they use 4.0 bluetooth tech. Later year S550 that do not require puck will syn with later model iPhones.

I have the 5878 puck (same as for the 07 S Class) in my R Class and it works fine with my iPhone 5. Remember, Bluetooth 4.0 is backwards compatible with older BT spec.

I just got the iphone 5, the older bluetooth device in my 07 worked with my iphone 4 and doesn't work with the 5. If I get the newer puck will it work?

I have the latest puck 6131 (black), you have to clear the lists of devices on the car command center and also clear the lists on the phone first, then re-synch. The device that you pick is MB System. Good luck.

The older (2007) puck WILL work with iPhone 5. I just upgraded from iPhone 4 to 5 and at first it didn't work either. What you need to do is reset the puck, I did this by holding down the Mercedes emblem on the puck itself. Then look under the cover towards the back of the puck, you will find a code. Enter that code when prompted and use the same code when synching your iPhone 5. Works perfectly after doing that.

That's what I had to do too. Except the newer black puck use the universal MB code.

The factory installed cradle on the 2007 S550, and presumably others as well, requires the Motorola phone with MB internal electronics and Verizon as the service provider. This same model Motorola phone is available from Verizon but without the MB internal electronics and will not work with the MB factory installed cradle. For all other phones and service providers, MB offers a blue tooth dongle available from MB dealers. As a general matter, the factory phone in the factory installed cradle is reportedly more reliable and less susceptible to dropped calls and fade outs.
