rattling from the passenger headrest
anyone know how to take the headrest out of the seat, or open the headrest without taking it out?
my passenger headrest is making this rattling, not terrible but loud enough that it is very annoying, it's sounds like leather rubbing against leather but i moved the whole front leather part away from the plastic box and it still rattle, i have to use my hand to hold it to stop it from rattling
thanks

Mine does the same thing and it drives me crazy !
I have determined that the noise is coming from where the headrest attaches to the seat ( if you follow the two metal posts down to the round plastic pieces they are rubbing against the leather on the top of the seat )
I took a pipe cleaner and wrapped it under the plastic pieces where they touch the leather and the noise seems to have stopped.
Hope that helps...

Oh this irritates the living sh%* out of me. Sometimes I turn up the music so I don't have to hear it. But the days I want complete silence I have to deal with the freaking rattling not from only something in my dash but the headrest too. smh
Im going to try the pipe cleaner trick. Maybe I can eliminate one bothersome noise.

I had the same thing! i stuffed bubble wrap in the back of the head rest, which did help slightly, but it wasn't gone completely. I kept having to play with the height of the headrest and the position of the seat. I brought it to the dealership, and they replaced it under warranty. Problem solved.

This drives me crazy too - dealer said squeaks and rattles aren't covered under warranty but he recommended taking it apart and putting felt in there, something I have no idea how to do on this car

The few squeaks and rattles I have had were all covered under warranty. Guess it depends on the dealer but I would raise hell if they didn't fix them.
