trunk comfort box from E/CLS: will it fit S?

I would like to have the trunk comfort box (p/n A21268000109051) installed in my 2011 S550. When I was looking to purchase a brand new 2013 car the dealer said "sure" after I saw and liked this box in CLS model. Now that I actually have 2011 S550 I want to be sure it would fir before I spend $200 on this part.

Here is the relevant diagram which shows rear body under cover and it seems to be compatible with the accessory comfort box: http://www.parts.com/parts/2011/MERC...iagram=5892720

Here is the link to the comfort box listing on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/MERCEDES-BENZ-E350-E550-COMFORT-BOX-CARGO-TRUNK-TRAY-STORAGE-OEM-2010-2011-2012-/121145378514?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c34d3c6d2&vxp=mtr
Any suggestions?

Thanks.

It is doubtful that it could be easily installed without some modification to your trunk. If you look at pictures of this device, you will see that it appears to have a couple of pins that fit in holes against the back of the rear seats. It looks like there is a knob with a screw on each side that screws into the roof of the trunk. Does your vehicle have threaded holes (one of them should be near the folding bag hook if it exists)? If these holes do not exist, you are out of luck unless there is someone that can modify your vehicle for them.

Actually it is in the 2014 brochure and it is an option on the W221 car. Look on page 14, pic o4 - that is the comfort box

Yes that is, definitely aware that is the 2014 brochure, but as I stated, I think it is also an option for the W221 cars too, as I am pretty sure I have seen that option installed in 2010 - 2013 cars. I am trying to find the part number for it

well i tell you think.

I have the comfort box in my hand right now, and tried to look and match the holes in the back and top, and there is nothing.

I would love to do some sort of DIY for this in a soon future.

Uh Oh! aznevoviii, do you have one from a W220 or one from a W212?

The W212 definitely won't match-up, but the W220 might? I got a good parts guy at my local dealership looking for the part. So I am keeping my fingers crossed at this point, because I really did like that feature in my former 2012 W212.

OK, so yeah, one for a W212 would probably be smaller than one for a W221 or W222.

2012 S550
I know I am bring up an old post, but Nuru, did you ever find out if this will fit the W221 S-Class? I brought my 2012 S550 into the dealer today for new tires and they gave me a 2016 E350 with the comfort box and love the idea. If possible to put in the W221, I would do it. Thanks!

Sorry, I got distracted retrofitting something else. I did not find out as of yet. Did you get a chance to measure the one in the 2016 E and see how its mounted?

Nuru, I will look and report back.

Alexander, I notice you have a 2010, so it is the face lift model. Would you happen to know if they fit your W221?

Thanks

Unfortunately they don't fit at all. You can probably make it work with big modifications
