I agree with you ,but I don't have that body kit or the wheels :-( I have the base s550 ... Either I will invest in a body kit or paint ...and since mine is base silver, I thought this would do the job .

Negative. That flat paint makes it look like brown primer.

IMO you at least need the amg sport package, having a paint job like that on the base model wouldn't look right... And you would have to black out everything like that as well otherwise it wouldn't look right

full wrap is nice. by the time to sell, you can remove it if needed.

do you mind share the price to full wrap in diamond white?

thanks in advance

Sure ..full diamond white wrap is $2300 full wrap designo like that brownish glossy/flat is $3800... Supposedly cleaning the glossy is not that bad but the flat is very hard and you have to be carefull with it .hope that helps

which shop in socal are you having it done? I think diamond white would be much safer than that brown if you dont plan on heavily modding your car

thanks for the info!
wow, the designo color is way much more. is it because they don't stock the color and you have to pay for the whole roll? whereas with common color, they can use the leftover for the next customer?

the wrap is not only protect the paint but can removed if the next owner prefer stock color.

one callout though: if the color is too different then it might look funny when opening door / trunk / fuel door, etc...

from black to flat black might not be too noticeable.

back to your question:
IMHO, that color is a bit too aggressive for S class owner in general.
but I like it as long as you have the big wheels & body kit to support the look.

since it will be a wrap, it is reversible. It's just $3800 is a bit much.

I agree with you all price is little high ..but if i start a cookie cutter project it will never end... front back sides tires headlights $$$$ ...and the list go on .. It can get 20 grand easy done right , in the end these cars lose value like a *****. But a warp will look cool, unique and different , at the same time easy to just either add value to the car or take it off when time to sell ...gives the buyer more options .

$4k is kinda high. i'm sure there are shops in ca that can "plasti dip" your whole car for less than $1k for any color/effect you like. never seen one myself but the pics online look impressive.

Thank you for your input ...4k Is high but plastidip can be very expansive too, to archive a flat color is not that bad but to add the clear plasti dip on top of the desired color to give it that effect iam looking for is expansive .. They told me the more coats you add the more imperfection would show ...in the other hand wraping is one solid color that is even cleaner and crisper than oem paint ..

i think plasti dip is the way to go, personally... i dropped 16 grand to paint my S only because the vinyl sometimes doesnt come off clean. the dip pulls right off.
