On 2010+ S550 these are an amber color, and don't match the new leds up front on the headlights, and the license plate. Anyone change these and what did you use.

you have to remove partial of the mirror housing to get access to the bulb. Ive changed mine out to led. its a lot brighter and looks better!

Is it the T10/W5W/194/164-style bulb?

This is really the only bulb on the 2010+ that looks dingy/yellow on the outside. It's gotta be changed.

I got this from WIS, I think I need to do this--replace it with a brighter LED.

I saw that, but it seems like the lamp is not a separately available part part? Without taking it out, I do not know if it is a standard bulb or some sort of proprietary assembly.

The deed is done. Soooo much improved over the factory. It is now crazy bright and bright white (not blue). Fast and easy mod.

Housing with mirror popped out and puddle light housing removed:

Notice the reflective treatment inside the housing:

I ordered no fewer than 11 variants of 194/T10/W5W/168 compatible LEDs to compare, including Philips Xtreme Vision and Sylvania Premium. Some are "error free/Canbus", others claim to use Cree LEDs. In the end, one outshined every other. It's a perfect design for this application too.
