have a 2013 s550
Got new cable with lightning connector
have the latest firmware update service says
they saying to buy an old iphone to make it work

anyone able to list music though media interface on there 2013 s550?

Did you try with the old 30 pin cable with a lightning adapter?

Pick up a Tune2Air Bluetooth audio adapter on EBay. No cable business and you'll retain the same controls as a wired connection.

it works! make sure you buy the genuine one form apple with the little extension!

Agreed, I recently fitted a Tune2Air and my I Phone 5S works great via bluetooth. See my post on this

So with the Tune2Air can you use the controls in the car or do you have to use the iphone itself?

from what ive read you can use the controls in the car, unsure if the display will show song name and whatnot

You can use the controls in the car. Same as a wired connection. You can even access your custom ITunes Radio stations from the Playlist menu on COMAND. The only issue I've had is that sometimes the song title and artist display info gets out of sync if you hop around a lot.
