new wheels arrived!
so finally made a decision on some wheel and here they are! staggered 20 8.5 and 20 9.5. Looks like a ball seat which should match the stock lugs. Ordered tires today so hopefully tmrw can have them mounted.

Possibly the wrong ball seat. There are two, a "Mercedes Large Ball" and an "Audi/Mercedes Small Ball". Reps tend to be Small Ball. They're fractionally different in size and look very similar but trust me, you'll know the minute you start driving on them. If you're not sure ask the vendor and save the hassle of having them mounted, dismounted and waiting for the lugs to arrive.

Thanks guys, Ill post up pics of everything, Im gona clean up the brake calipers, put on akebono pads, install the lowering links and wheels all at the same time. Should be a nice little transformation. Rear calipers look bad so some fresh high temp paint on those fronts still look new.

Man, I regretted buying my current car almost immediately. But after only buying new wheels, a spoiler, an aftermarket quad exhaust, a wood cell pad clamshell, smoked side market lamps and $4000 worth of audio gear, I have to admit it's starting to grow on me a bit.

It was expensive as hell and I missed my W220. Also, it was a base sport package with the 19" wheels and the whole car looked very plain to me. Hated the stereo (no secret). Also the purchase coincided with the start of my back pain problems that lead to the disastrous surgery (something different in the structure of the seat vs the 220) so I associated the car with pain and discomfort.
Now that the surgery is done and most of the pain issues are resolving I'm sort of seeing the car in a new light and really enjoying it for the first time in two years.
I have a mental problem: I get a car "perfect" with all the mods I could want and I immediately get bored and start looking for another car. Then I get the new car and immediately regret letting the old one go. Then I mod the new one, and repeat. I'm breaking the cycle with my 221. I'll keep it until the warranty ends 8/2016 and then all of my mods and goodies...audio, wheels etc are coming out/off, and hopefully going right back into/onto a 2012 CL550 CPO.
