Visit www.adjustableairride.com and enter your vehicle info. Your car in all likelihood is Airmatic. On the dash to the right of the main cluster is a horizontal stack of buttons. Press the one with the pic of a shock absorber on it. If the display in the speedo says "AIRMATIC..."

Wheel size won't affect the drop, just a question of how low you want to go. It takes some experimentation. I my experience it degrades the ride too much for the trade off in appearance and I'd recommend against it, but it's really an owner's choice.

Thanx!
I dont have a button with shock absorber on it... I have one with a car and a arrow up. When i press it, the car rises and it says something like "Rising Car" on the dash

Found a pic online with same buttons as me

Hmmm. I'd say that's an ABC car, not 100%. Maybe someone here with an ABC car can confirm.

I have that button in my S600 and S550 - S600 has ABC - S550 does not.

You can always look to see how many links you have...if you have 1 at each corner - you have ABC. If you only have 3 total - you just have airmatic.

yes you change the linkage or right above that linkage where it bolts to the upper control arm. you add a spacer or spacers depending on how low you want the car. my car is in the shop now and i asked my guy if he can lower it just a tad bit in the front and rear. i asked him how he was going to do it and thats what he showed me. pretty simple and free if you do it yourself.

INTERESTING!!! I've never heard this spacer thing before?!?! any pictures? has anyone else here done this and been riding for a while with the spacers as oppose to lowering links?

I've heard of guys doing it with spacers but I can't figure out where you'd put them to create more distance between the upper control arm side and the sensor side. Pics?

So the link's mount on the upper arm bolts to the upper arm, and you use spacers (washers) and longer bolts to put the link mount lower?

The rear is going to be a PIA. If I remember correctly it's on top of the rear diff and space is tight. It must be doable because I've heard lots of owners talking about it. The downside vs the adjustable links, especially the Ghost Links, is that it takes a lot of trial and error to get the whole car at the right height at all four corners. With the Ghost Links they can be lengthened or shortened while they're still on the car. With spacers (if I understand them) you'd need to unbolt the link mount from the upper arm and change the number or size of the spacers on 3 (or 4 for 4matic) locations.

The car doesn't drop on a 1-to-1 ratio vs the length of the link arm. It's a very small increase in length (like a couple mm) for each inch of drop so it can be hard to fine tune. With spacers it would be good to know the exact thickness you'd need going in.

It took me a couple weeks to get the perfect height that I wanted so the fender sits right above the tire. I had to play around with it. Make sure you do it on a level surface.
