Will 22s Rub?
Will 22s Rub?
Im sorry guys I know this has probably been answer 10000xs but hard for me to search on the phone I am new to this site.
I have a 2013 S550
I added 22" Lexani CSS7 rims with Pirelli tires
Front: 245/30/22
Rear: 295/25/22
Will I have ANY rubbing issues? The shop told me I will be fine, but whats everyone else experiences? I do not have a lowering module and I dont plan to get one since I am on 22s. I dont think 22s and a lowering module sounds good, sounds like rubbing to me all day long but I might be wrong. I saw a W220 At mercedes south orlando yesterday and the front suspension went bad on both sides and the front end was sitting so low and both fenders were Fcked from the tire pulling them down. I just dont want to deal with any fender rub. I just had a premier shop in orlando repaint my whole car with a new Axalta paint. Also will I have any issues highway driving when the car lowers its self a little bit?

All around rub? Should I have the fenders rolled just a tad? Any idea on how much that would cost? Dang I thought I wouldnt rub at all. I had a 2008 BMW 750li and I put 22s on it with no issues. I was hoping for non with this car as well. I bought a set of 20s also for the car but wont have them for another few weeks.
Should I just buy a fender roller? I saw they are 70 bucks on amazon, I also saw a video on youtube and this looks like a very simple process. If i just roll the fenders I should be good all day long correct?
Do you really want to roll the fenders on an S550? Keep the car classy...unless that wheel design looks really good, which is hard to come by on an s class...but if you like it, go for it.
Also, if you do go with 22's, don't even think about lowering or you'll definitely crack your fenders all day long whenever you turn the wheel and hit a bump or go up a ramp fast, etc.
Oh, and with those rubber band tires, you're going to take the ride from soft and smooth to feel like you're riding on roller skates...unless you have ABC, then it will be a little better.

Yeah NO way was I ever going to think about lowering the car. I dont like it when people lower the cars so much that the tires are up in the wheel wells.

So I just read a thread from a year ago and a lot of people seem to agree that it might rub it might not, but for 100 bucks I mind as well do it for peace of mind. I was told the car wouldn't rub on stock height.
Yeah I dont like that way that W220 looks, it looks hideous . I have a AMG package so the sport model looks a lot better on the front bumper. Ill post a pic no of my car at the body shop. Ill have to post some better pics when I get the car back.

This Also goes for the BMW 750. However, it's your car bro you can get whatever you like for it. Btw car looks good!
Hope you have tire insurance from the dealer or road hazard from tirerack because the bubbles will be on the Way.

Why would I get bubbles? I thought I picked out a great tire.
