problem is your pricing is not even in the ballpark... i will let you figure it out, but trade in is $24k, wholesale 25-26k.

just a data point.

if you trade it in you will take a big loss as the extended warranty is worth nothing to the dealer as it is an old car that will go straight to auction and.. see wholesale figure i gave you.

my advice to you is price it more aggressively and sell it privately to capitalize on the warranty.

good luck

appreciate the input. 1st dealer i was trying to wrk a cpo car out w was giving me 25.500 trade plus the tax savings. so 27763, current dealer trade is a bit less. Had a 30k cash offer last week but hadnt found replacemnt. yet....I dont believe a white/blk amg w pana roof and no paintwork and not a ding is a wholesale car...but I could be wrong? what do you think its worth?

take the 30k and run... i would.

the 25.5 a dealer is giving you means your new vehicle price is inflated about 1k... simple games

a wholesale car is not determined by its rarity/ options, but rather by the existence (or lack of) factory warranty. once the factory warranty is over (4 years/50k miles) unless an exotic brand it usually heads straight for auction. depends on dealer ofcourse, but most established dealers will send to auction everything after 30/60/90 days. thus, when traded in they play it safe and give you a few grand below auction to account for transportation and fees. options almost never are a consideration when cars go to auction as auction sales history does not contain such data thus it is not considered by the dealers when the time comes to sell/ buy from auction.

2019 S63 4Matic+, 2018 E400 Cabrio, wardens car.
It's a 7 year old car, soon to be 8. I would have taken the 30K and rented a car. I would guess 26K private party but you may be better off on a trade because of the tax savings. Most dealers want to steal the tax advantage by giving a little more than private party but they leverage this against you on the trade. Dealers are all slimeball thieves at the end of the day and are in business to make money. Its a nice car but these cars depreciate horribly all the way down to about 10K for the older examples of the 221. It's a nice car but you have a very limited pool of buyers for a car this old.

Get a written trade offer from the dealer giving you the best offer....then take that to the other dealer and negotiate a better deal on the car you really want.

I bought the w222, its gona b ready next week. Going thru the cpo process. I got a nice deal on the w222, its what i wanted so I closed the deal then brought up trade. Either way i was getting that car. White/blk w upgraded designo interior full leather and suede headliner, drivers assist and comfort so heated everything. Im not off by much on the trade.... may have a buddy come look at mine today and maybe someone tmrw. I think I got the best price I was going to get on the new one so i dont think there was room to push up my trade... may try 1 more time! Id rather not own both at the same time.... no real room.
