the issue with all car hifi is the amp is at best 1/3 of the power any car needs - the whole idea of part baked modern digital music is it removes all the hard stuff that makes amps and speakers struggle, so much so 5 watt speakers driven by a 10 watt amp can sound OK at first glance
the first 2 S classes I looked at had the big amp and its so average I was very much underwhelmed - the stock sub is out of control at half vol and pushing it higher of course conmme, you will get distortion. The step you need and its possible, but a pfhaff is to add one of these Audison Prima 8.9 https://www.audison.eu/products/ap-f8-9-bit/
see this guys 3 years journey, only fixed when he swapped out the junk power amp (you still have to have it to do the pre amp features but don't bother using a Merc Amp section its not capable) - I was coming from a BMW where there is a plug and play upgrade to one of theses amps and its pretty much all you need - its light years on from anything Merc do
Hi all, I have a big problem, I bought Android 12 Wireless Auto CarPlay for my w221 with Comand ntg 3.0 . Product works but has no software for ntg 3.0. (only from ntg 4.0 onwards). The part relating to the original software does not work, only climate controls are visible. Vendor has been waiting for software for many days......Someone has and can send me files for ntg 3.0 or tell me where to find it? Thank you
I have the same problem, but in mine the controls for the car don't work at all. Also have 1 connector from the original screen thats not connected with the new screen and harness.
Did you have this to?
I connected everything and it works, not having correct software, the original image is very choppy and missing the commands that were next to the command . High low car, etc
I have contacted my vendor and asked him for the NTG 3.0 software so if i have news i will let you know.
Did you also have 1 cable from the original screen not connected in the new situation?
Thank you for file if it is sent to you. I hope you haven't bought from Nunoo Android Store. If you need help installing, just ask.
Do you have photos of the cable you are describing to me?
Yes i have..... It's the connector on the right. The left connector was from the switches and i think this 1 goes to the LIN connector from the new cables
Thx, and dit you also have a small cable labeled LIN, think that 1 goes to the cable at which the switches where on the left side of the screen...
My vendor says it should work with NTG 3.0, so i am gone try it again end of this week.
Uhggggg, I have the 2011 S550 and I now have no sound though android as well. (10.25" Android 11 from Amazon - Mekedetech) As for the side buttons. They all work, but.....For them to work you have to have the ac controls plugged in and the car running when trying to test before putting car back together.
Someone already mentioned that once before.
I have this located outside of glove box, but nothing seems to be going through it when I test it, but it is connected to the comand....As far as I can tell.

Looks like a retrofitted 3.5 mm AUX jack. But if it is a 2011 MY car, it should have the aux connector standard in the glove box. Perhaps someone has rewired it to allow easier access (with an extension cord).
You could check which pins it goes to behind the Comand unit. Also I have no idea how this android device affects the existing AUX audio line.

Is there a pin out sheet for it? I'm waiting for my other AUX cables to show up Friday so I can try those. I also tried the FM Transmitter and it works using AUX cable to Audio out, but the power noise is crazy loud. I also have a ground loop noise isolator cable coming in Friday as well.
My glove box has 12V/USB/MMI and I was hoping that 3.5 mm jack which is mounted under the glove box was active, but it's not.
@Basso1001
When you remove the ac controls you unplug 4 connectors. Well those have to be plugged back in and the single lin cable needs to be plugged in the switch cable for height/sport/parking and the car has to be running if you want to "test" those buttons. Trying any other way results in them not working when you press them onscreen. I hope that is what you are asking me?
No problem. Glad I was able to return the favor.
Don't worry. I did the same thing. This blah blah blah doesn't work then read somewhere where everything has to actually be plugged back in and running. Once i did that i got happy as they did in fact work and it was purely user error on my part. So I took a picture showing the switch lights are actually on.
I have tried it again because the vendor told me that it is NTG3.0 and it did't work, only the buttons on the side for rise and so. It doesn't connect tot the car so i asked my vendor to take it back. Now i'm waiting for the response.... but it's Alixpress so i don't know....
