Thoughts on 2007 S550 Carfax
Hey guys,
I have a friend trying to replace his E500 that was totaled with a 2007 S550. It does have high miles (140k), but the seller sent the carfax. It's pretty cheap so do you guys have any thoughts? I am not too familiar with the W221's so I didn't know what to look out for specifically, but wanted to do a little research for him before he pulled the trigger. as far as the service history that is documented goes, does everything look normal and everything that should be checked looks good to go?

Many thanks!
Edit: car does seem to be in fairly good condition from the pictures. it is private party and the owner had to buy a minivan due to a growing family so he hasn't driven it much in the past few months. my friend says it has all the options he wanted (including massage seats) which is why he's willing to look past the high mileage.

Depends on the weather
Euro in Bethesda and MB of Alexandria are both very good dealers. He can always get a PPI so they go over the car and point out anything that may be of a concern now or in the near future.

well he's been adamant about having the massage seats and night vision. i told him that while they both sound cool, i doubt they're very useful in the real world. does anyone have them and actually use them regularly?

I will say, the seat massage is nice. I use it often, and my wife loves it. It's a very gentle massage using the pneumatic bladders in the seat.
Night vision? Meh. Pure gimmick, in my humble opinion. I don't know if it's capable of seeing through fog, but we get that so infrequently here it's not a factor. I tried it out a couple of times, and while it's a "cool, lookit that!" kind of thing, it's distracting and I don't ever use it.
