Squeak wont go away

Hello all, I cannot locate the squeak noise coming from front drivers wheel. It is very slight right now going over uneven pavement where the car leans left to right. Also you can hear it if you push hard on the drivers side corner of the car. I lubricated all the bushings still no change. I was going tomorrow disconnect the sway tomorrow and see if that maybe the problem. Does anyone have any ideas as to what to do next ruling things out by process of elimination that has worked for you. Any ides and suggestions are welcomed.

I don't have any experience with the S-Class cars, but I did have a really stubborn "creak" noise when my E-Class went through dips or over speed bumps that flexed the left front suspension.

I will not bore you with the 3 1/2 year saga of how much the dealer spent in warranty time and parts money to still tell me that they can hear the noise but cannot find what to do to fix it.

I did a lot of internet research and found that another owner, many years ago, had the same 'creak.' He fixed his by lubricating all of the hood bumpers - the little plastic/rubber posts that the hood rests on when it is closed. The E-Class has three bumpers on each side of the car. I lubricated mine with silicone grease ($4 at the parts store), and the car suddenly became silent.

Could be worth a try for yours, too.

Ok I'll give it a try. I'm getting the squeak/creaking noise when I press down on the subframe with the hood open. I was afraid to keep pushing down on the fender and end up denting it.

Tried few things this morning. I removed sway bar links and drove around the block squeak still there. I relubed up front end this time soaking rubber joints. No such success. The squeak is still there not as loud after the lube. Anyway to rule out control arms without disassembling everything. I have a feeling it’s either upper or lower arm.

I had exactly the same problem (squeak) - I ended up having lower control arms replaced a few weeks ago. Solved the problem.
Ball joint associated with air strut was badly worn.

Actually replacing the arms also fixed a number of other creaks which I was getting on hard turns and speed bumps - I thought it was the roll bar bushings, so no need to go for my 3rd bar.

Try this in your garage where it's quiet.....motor off but key on.....rock the steering wheel and listen. Worn parts will often squeak.

under third party waranty, my repairs were made. Front end suspension like new now.

Fellas I found out the squeak is coming from front drivers lower spring control arm - the one where the airmatic shock attaches to. I'm also going to replace the other lower control rod also. Would anyone happen to who sales good quality replacement suspension parts. I'm not sure where to go outside the dealer so not to pay a huge arm and leg. Thanks.

I've been hunting for creaks on the front suspension - both sides.
I greased all the ball joints with a needle.
That took care of the passenger side.
The driver side was gone, but returned.
I'm replacing the driver left control arm (w/ air shock attachment)
The BJ boot was ripped, so it needed to be replaced. It definitely has some endplay.

Thanks for the update. I have front end squeaks as well for some time now and wanting to repair them. Let us know if replacing the control arm solves the issue.

I'll keep you posted. It's my Daily Driver for 60mi/day.
For the record, I've got 83,000 miles.
I was really going after the creaking noise.

I drove a few miles today... no creaking.
I also had that steering wheel shimmy/vibration, and that still appears to be gone.

It's been several months, and all the light bump creaking is gone.
Either it was that lower control arm BJ, or it was all the grease I pumped in the other joints.
If I get a good jounce/rebound turning into a driveway, there is still some creaking... but I can live with that.
