Headlight Assembly Replacement

My 2013 S550 has certainly started showing it's age and not playing right. After a full day of ridiculous rain, my headlights have developed a lot of moisture and I need to replace the entire assembly. Question, would a direct replacement need to be reprogrammed through star or is it a direct replacement?

If you're going to pull the headlight, check the seams and reseal no need to buy a new headlight if that one is working.

2007 W221 and I swapped my headlights with OEM parts. No STAR programming needed.

Thank you all. It's developed some minor cracks at the top and just looks weird but it works fine

Not sure how these ugly cracks formed. They're on both headlights and spreading fast

I ordered oem lenses and had them professionally swapped on my W221. They are like new now. On a sidenote, had the same issue on my W222, had the dealer replace both headlights and the same issue happened at a late date. So nothing means nothing here.

Believe it or not, I bought them on ebay. Avoid the ones in the $50 range. I Think I spent $120+ for the pair and it came from eastern europe. The difference was that the more expensive ones have the engraved vertical lines. Its been a while and ebay wont show me my complete purchase history, so I can not suggest the exact buyer. But def a great buy and lights came out like new. Just source a proper shop and you should be in good hands.

He's talking about the lens only, not the entire assembly
