eBay brake set
Hi guys,
My 2013 S550 with Sport package is about due for a brake service. Just wanted to get your thoughts about this brake set. Do they even look legit to you? Would you recommend them? Thanks a lot for your sharing your experience!

I bought Brembo front and rear brake kits off eBay from parts container. $350 front, $250 back. Had my local guy install them. They are great! I am very happy with them. Very little dust. No squeal from installation (last summer) They are not as touchy as the OEM brakes, but they stop the car when I want them to. I would do that again no doubt.
One oddball thing that threw me was the brakes came in a box which said they were for a Saab (some other car, can’t remember exactly)

What I noticed comparing braking action was the “touchiness” of the brakes. The OEM brakes were extremely responsive to the slightest application of braking. To get the same response on the new brakes took more pressure/movement. I’m not talking like ½ inch of pedal movement more but just more. Once I got used to that, I found the new brakes stopped the car comparatively fine.
The dust from the OEM brakes just drove me nuts. (That and replacement cost made the decision easier)) I polish up my baby weekly in the summer and having the front rims staying clean between washings was heaven. I wouldn’t go back to OEM brakes for any reason.
