Aux input on the W221 chassis option?
Hello,
From what I've read posted below there is a hidden aux port behind the panel in the glove box the 208 chassis. Is this option also present on the w221 chassis? I'm planning on picking up a 2008 S63 AMG and would like to know from current owners if this is the same as on the 208 chassis vehicles? I'll be picking it up in about a month and from what I saw, it has the old 30pin ipod style connector which isn't useful for my needs.

Thanks guys!
EDIT:
I've picked up the car, Aux input works with an RCA to 3.5 adapter to my phone, then selected AUX from the audio menu.

it depends... you didn't mention which market is the car from (US/EU/JP?). In any case, if there is no AUX in the comand menu "Sound", you can enable it with SD/Xentry. Physically, the main comand socket pins 15,16,5,6, are responsible for analog input signal and once you dig up comand from the console, you will see if anything is connected there or not...
If it has ipod connector, then somebody might have added ipod adapter - you might have to remove it in order to free the aux input (I am not aware of how this adapter interfaces with the comand, just guessing it uses analog aux with some controls input via CAN).

the examples shown above are the facelift car... they have a different (very similar apperance) system, that is much closer to the modern world
2005 to 2009 was the NTG3.0 system
2010 to 2013 was the NTG3.5 system
back then this was the solution for aux input

now they do better stuff you should probably fit this
